Excellent quality media
I have three tanks, including a 75-gallon Amazon tank, all with live plants, including java moss. The stuff gets everywhere. Over half of my stock consists of catfish species, and they make a lot of mess. I end up cleaning the tanks weekly.Of all the supplies I have to buy, filtration media could be the make or break cost-wise. Before Internetz, I remember having to pay a dollar or so for each filter replacement. If filter replacement went on sale, I bought it up. Now that we have so many options via the Internet, it does not have to cost so much to keep a tank clean. I can make around 36 filters with this pad, which reduces the filter cost by half. I can buy other pads like this, being the stiff kind, but this pad works the best. First, I can measure it up against the filter replacement holder and cut an exact replica. Then when I slide it into the filter spot, it stay in place. More, the media works beautifully. The tanks are very, very clear. I can buy the Aquatics Flo media and this media to save a bit of money, seeing as the Aquatics Flo is almost half price (but not as good as this product), and put this media in the filters that do the heavy work and reduce the cost per filter replacement even more.I recommend this product the quality over the price.

Love this...perfect for what I needed
I have a Sea Clear AIO reef tank and the Pre-filter has a large egg crate screen with a filter sock on it. I hate filter socks...they are a total PIA when it comes to cleaning so instead of the filter sock I use this. The eggcrate is large probably 16 inches high and 5 inches wide. All I have to do is cut a piece that is about 1.5 inches wider. Wrap around the bottom of the egg crate and slide it in place. As you push it down the rest of the way it folds around the back of the egg crate itself into place and you are done. It fits more snugly on the edges than the filter sock has better mechanical filtration in my opinion and polishes the water just was well. And when you need to u just replace it. No messy stinky filter socks to wash.

No dyes and does a good job of keeping my aquarium water clean.
I use this in place of a polishing pad or poly fill in my Fluval 306 and I've noticed no difference in water clarity between the two and it's way less expensive. If you have a high bioload or messy cichlids you may need additional filtering foam; as recommended by pond guru. I like the product because it has no dyes and it rinses clean so you don't have to replace it as often. This product has a coarse side and a fine side. I use this filter media in my bottom tray on top of the biofoam (coarse side down) and it keeps it my biomedia free of detritus. Watch the pond guru on YouTube on how to set up your canister filter to be more efficient. My water is crystal clear.

Works well, inexpensive
I use this in a 20 gallon tank with a Fluval C2 30 gallon filter. I get a little bit of waste at the edges with the 12x72" roll, due to the sizing of the needed filter I need. A cardboard template has proven to be the most effective at getting maximum usage from it. Provides enough filter replacements for a few months use. My tank tends to get a bit overpopulated at times with guppies that breed like mad and this does a good job keeping the water clear. The photo in my review shows the filter after a week of use. It will get replaced this weekend. I use it in conjunction with a 50 micron filter placed after it. Can be a little awkward to cut up because of the shape it is rolled up in. Not unexpected.

Great Filter Media !!!
Great filter roll ! I highly recommend it over any other filter media. I have tried a couple others and this works the best by far. My water is crystal clear and clean. I run two Marineland 350's and cut this to fit between the two replaceable filters ( I use all four at a time in each one) It is a little snug but slides in just right. This way I have an extra layer of filtering for the biological bacteria. I first bought the 3/4" and it was just too tight to fit in between the standard filters. I wanted to have better filtering without chemicals and this is the answer for me.

Best filter pad on the market
OK here it is! Fritz pets used to carry a product called needle pad which polished my saltwater aquarium water to a crystal clear perfection. Approximately 10 years ago hey stop caring the product. Until now I have not found anything that matches up to that quality until now!! Make sure you are purchasing the thin 3/8" pad Although considerably more expensive than what I was purchasing from Fritz pets it seems to do the trick just as well and it is the best I have found. I have researched manufactures of air filters and other sources and have not found a product that matches this. Thank you,

Great substitute for expensive media
I bought this to use in place of the expensive media for our new filter, and it has been a great time and money saver. The material can be cut to fit, and it was very easy to cut with normal scissors. In just a few minutes I had cut out about 20 filter pads to use in the new filter, and there is still alot of material left for more. And this filter material works well as I've been using it now for about 3 months and it makes the filter easy to clean, and definitely catches the particles. Definitely recommend this as a money saver and it's a quality product I am sure you'll be happy with.

Excellent filter media
I have tried a number of different filter medias for my hang on the back filter. This one has worked the best. Easy to cut to fit. Excellent at filtering out those fine particles that are often missed by the coarser type filter medias. When the time comes, I will be ordering more from this company due to their excellent customer service and excellent products.
