Helpful starter scissors for 3 year old
I bought these scissors for my 3 1/2 year old grandson. His preschool class is learning to use scissors and practice cutting on lines. I keep my grandson in the afternoons so thought I could supervise extra scissor practice every once in awhile between reading stories and free time. These scissors are perfect. There’s an arrow to show which scissor stays on top and two colors so it’s easy to help him remember which color stays on top while using. I like that the scisdors don’t completely close since opening scisdors again takes a lot of finger energy; this scissor is much easier to keep cutting. This cuts down on frustration. I highly recommend these scissors for younger kids beginning to learn how to use scissors

The best learning scissors
We tried multiple beginner ones and finally love this one. My son has fine motor issues and all the other ones we tried before did not work for him. He would lose interest very fast. This one worked very well and he is showing progress using this. Very sturdy, cut paper very well and love the finger holes that simulate adult scissors. Other ones we tried had same size finger holes and very hard for kids. This one, they can put thumb in small hole and rest of the fingers in the big hole which is more practical. The lever is really helpful keeping kids with short attention span interested. I highly recommend these.

PERFECT! Helped her with fine-muscle coordination
My daughter had difficulty using scissors in preschool, and these were the perfect ones to help her at home! The little arrow thing flips down to help them learn what the "release" feels like, and helps the scissors stay open after little ones close them to cut; now she's able to use them without the arrow thing. She's gotten a lot of confidence using scissors, and it's also helped her with using standard size pencils/pens. I like that these are safe to use, little danger of little ones cutting self (under supervision, of course).

Awesome tool for lil learners
I love that these scissors taught my kinder how to cut, but they blade is kind of crappy. It more rips the paper than cuts it. But I couldn't have gotten her to learn how to cut without these. We tried! So even though they aren't sharp for the age group it is still the perfect tool out there to get them to open and close the scissors to cut. I would definitely recommend these scissors and I would buy them again for the lil brothers and sisters when it's their turn to learn. These are so safe too will definitely not cut the child if they touch the blade. Super safe!!!

CAN'T CUT SKIN AND AWESOME FOR 2 YEAR OLDS! (AND MY 4 YEAR OLD)
I read a ton of reviews for different safety scissors before buying these. We already had a few pairs of all plastic safety scissors, but my 2 year old had a hard time using them because he had to manually open them back up after cutting into something and my 4 year old struggled a little bit because they had to be held at a certain angle to work. When I saw the concept of the "spring open" feature I was intrigued. I read that it's hard for toddlers to open the scissors back up to make another cut, which will obviously frustrate them and lead do disinterest, tears, or both. I was a little concerned about the metal blade on these scissors because I was afraid it would cut their skin, but it's not possible. I tried (really hard) to cut myself (I even used the web of skin between my thumb and forefinger) before letting my boys use them and wasn't able to do it. I know it sounds weird, but I wanted to "take one for the team" if the scissors were able to cut skin. These scissors (coupled with a scissor skills practice book) kept them busy for a LONG time on a road trip we just took to Myrtle Beach. We haven't had them for very long (2 weeks) but they seem to be really good quality and my boys are really tough on everything and they've held up great. I've been telling all my mom friends to buy these for their kiddos because they're so awesome. I highly recommend them and you can't beat the price.

Great scissors
My son used these quite a few times and was happy with the way they fit his hand, as well as the ease of use. He did mention that they were a bit "stiff" when cutting, but I believe this will ease with time. When asked, he said his fingers had plenty of room, and the blades easily cut through different types of paper, string, yarn and more. As an early childhood educator, I found that these scissors were much more comfortable, and cut much better than many other brands I have used. The shape of the handles are a lot better for a child?s hand than the scissors with two round-shaped holes for both the fingers and thumbs, and the length of both the blades and the cut are perfect for a small child with developing hand muscles and coordination. They are light enough for a child to use with ease, but not so light that they don?t cut well. These scissors seem to be very well made, and sturdy enough to where the handles can withstand a lot of use and abuse without cracking as I have seen other kid?s scissors do. Of course, the blunt tips are a great safety precaution for children as well! I also like that they come in a selection of bright colors, which makes it easy to spy them in the big plastic container which houses all of our arts and crafts supplies
