We recently got into buying Amish butter by the 2lb block instead of the processed margarine tubs and phony spreads. Give me flavor and the doctors can't make up their minds on what spread is going to kill you first or last anyway. The only issue is that you need something to put that real butter in because dragging the 2lb roll of hard butter out of the fridge all the time is a royal pain. Ceramic Butter Boat to the rescue. I wack off a large wedge of the butter roll, put it in the butter boat and it stays out of the counter ready for use and at room temp it is easy to spread and work with. Once you use it, up wash and dry and then replace the butter and you are good for another month. The boat and the cover are well made, and it came with a second what I'm guessing is a silicone seal for the edges. My only negative point and reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that the little butter spoon that fits into the top is pretty much a useless accessory and I would have really preferred to just buy it without that. Heaven forbid I break this thing, but if I did I'd buy another one.

This is JUST ok for my need. I need something to store clarified butter so I could easily get it out in portions; I bought it because it says dishwasher safe, but based on poor quality of ceramic material, question pouring melted butter into it even if dish is at room temperature. I would not gift this item. Overpriced IMHO - more a 7.99 item at a discount store in terms of quality. Rubber seal on lid was positioned "amiss" when it arrived. I suspect it will not last.; it is flimsy plastic rubber material that comes off easily so it slides up and down the section of lid where it attaches. It is not permanently attached. I will keep it for my need, as I regularly use clarified butter, but will continue to search for suitable vessel.

I purchased this butter dish in January, 2019 and love it! I love fresh baked bread hot from the oven with butter melting all over it but hate having to spread hard cold butter on it. This dish easily holds two sticks of butter at just the right temperature to spread easily. Have had no trouble with spoilage even though I now leave it out on the kitchen counter. I live in South Florida, so summer heat may change that, even with cool air conditioning. If so, I’ll add that information then. I plan to order a second dish to use fo cheese. I definitely recommend this product.

I particularly liked this little dish because it can hold a few sticks of butter at once in it as well as you are not putting a lid around it. The lid fits great, the only concern I have is with the seal since when we got it, it was stuck a little to tight and tore a little. Other than that it keeps clean, the adorable little knife is great to have on hand right away, and it has been pretty durable so far.

Great product. Fits 2 sticks of butter wide but could hold more stacked. I also love the spreading knife conveniently located on it. Would buy again.

Cute, love that I can keep it out on the counter because it looks great for a butter dish. The little knife that sets on top is handy. I can fit two sticks of butter in it. Has a good seal on it, so no worries of anything getting in it that you dont want in.

This butter dish is everything I wanted!!! We use Amish roll butter and it's been so hard to find something that works. This makes life better!

This was my 3rd purchase of a butter dish off amazon and it is the best one I've tried. Rubber seal around wooden edge, no smell off wood (yes that's a thing I've experienced on another purchase of a different butter dish unfortunately) and good size.

This is very sturdy and a good idea to have a small knife inserted on the top lid. Very good value.

To be honest the little knife it’s pointless. The lid touches the butter. Great quality though.

Pleased with the size / colour but the lid doesn’t always fit flush first time putting it back on

Bought the larger one and it wasn’t quite deep enough for a standard pack of Lurpak. Thus means there is always butter on the lid which looks messy.
