This is a nice jewelry making kit. My granddaughter two weeks shy of her 5th birthday was able to make the bracelets and rings on her own. However, the beads were hard to snap together. So she could not make bead bracelets and necklaces herself. Perhaps, a 7 year old would be able to snap the beads together. I took off one star b/c the beads were hard to snap together. However, it was easy enough to put the beads on the plastic bracelets and rings. If you have a child with stronger hands or who is at least 6, the kit is worth the money. I did not think it was overpriced. The box beautifully stores the beads, plastic bracelets and rings so it doubles as a storage box and beads are not all over the place.

I bought this snap on jewelry for my 3 year old granddaughter. I was really disappointed with the toy. My granddaughter and I both had a hard time putting it together. She definitely won't be making a necklace by herself.

My three and two year old LOVE these beads. They are good quality, I was surprised to find that the little parts don’t break easily. I wouldn’t give this to children who still put things in their mouths, and I only allow my young ones to use with supervision. The carrying case is also good quality and has held up for many uses over the past 5 months.
