first sample didn't work; second one did
Another fine example of product design and quality control that I've come to expect from China. Clearly, Edwards Deming and his continuous quality improvement paradigm got stuck in Japan and never made it to China. Or, more charitably, I received the odd defective product. One star for the first one, because it doesn't work. I wiired using the connections on the back. Tested: hot at brass screw on side, no potential between neutral and ground screws. Pushed reset button. Clicked. Tested outlets: no power. Pushed test button. Clicked, but no light from the led on the front. Pushed and held the reset button for 30 seconds. No change. Also, screw for neutral wire was loose in the box. The screws are meant to be "captive" and very difficult to remove completely, but I was able to get it installed.Ground screw, so far as I could ascertain, is designed to only be accessed from the hole in the back of the unit; I couldn't loosen it enough to get a 12 AWG copper wire secured around it. Unfortunately, the hole in the back was not large enough to accept the ground wire. (Surprising, because the rest of the holes on the back - for the hot and neutral wires - were appropriately sized. I had to drill out the hole for the ground wire in order to access the ground screw.Replacement unit arrived promptly. Took me all of 5 minutes to kill the circuit, remove defective unit, install replacement, energize circuit. Outlet tester (Klein Tools - Intertek) produced the two orange lights indicating wired properly. Alternately pressing the test and reset buttons resulted in killing and energizing the outlets as expected. One star removed for the defective first unit, five stars for the second. And five stars for customer service.

GFCI wall outlet 20A
Ok product, the ground wire must be installed outside using the screw as the hole to feed it in is too narrow. Also if you open the screws too much, the inside nut falls off (happen when I tried to install the ground wire.I was debating with Teklectric - GFCI Receptacle 20A 125V Tamper Resistant + Wall Plate - GFCI Outlet 20 AMP 125 VOLT Grounded Tamper Resistant Wall Plate Included, and ordered both. Both are made by the same manufacturer, and the package looks almost the same, and cost the same.I do prefer this product as it is indoor / outdoor.

Garbage right out of the box
Finally had a need and Installed this. One receptacle works fine. The other faults the second you put anything into it. Took it out and replaced with a better model from a different company. Buyer beware

I'd say we are good to go
Installed and operational for a couple months now. House has not burned down! I'd say we are good to go.I've tested the GFCI function several times. Works as expected.
