Quite a lonely experience
First off, I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed the previous games in the Dirt series. However this one, as Amazon's description of 3 stars says: "It's okay".The gameplay itself is of a high standard, with the car handling seeming quite realistic. The sounds are great on track too, and it's difficult enough that there is a feeling of accomplishment when you drift around a turn nicely. However, I would say that the experience of playing the game feels quite 'lonely'. In Dirt 2, there was a central hub, where you could go into your motorhome and move around a complex and decide what type of race to compete in. In Dirt 3, there's only a series of triangles representing different race types, and it just feels a bit sterile. Even though you are in theory working your way up through a series, there's no sense of higher standing or presence in the rally world. It's essentially "complete this triangle to see the next triangle". Combine this with the fact that rally is one car on the track at the time and it feels like racing in a bit of a ghost town.Anyway, to summarise, the gameplay is decent but the sense of progress is poor. The multiplayer is good, but bear in mind now that the game has been out a long time and the chances of getting a race are declining quite rapidly!

Fantastic game, great package...but...
Dirt 3 is awesome. Every aspect of racing covered in this game is just as enjoyable as the next. The much-wanted rally stages are reintroduced and the brand-spanking new Gymkhana mode is great fun. HOWEVER, let's not forget that this is a complete game including a large amount of DLCs for free. If you had the game before this complete edition was released, you had to buy every DLC separately. Not cool Codemasters. Not cool, at all: yet another bid to grab money from customers.Despite Codemaster's greed at capitalising at re-rereleasing DLCs (which is bound to create lots of money) into this particular edition, the game itself is great, simple fun.

As a Dirt game it's alright
I've played i think all the Dirt games so far and enjoyed them all. I recently felt like playing racing game again and decided to get this. It was for me OK, i didnt like the limited about of race tracks after awhile it just felt mundane and boring for me to play 1 of what felt like 6 different tracks. I also prefer the Dirt games that were more focused on Rally and racing rather than skills like drifting and so on. All in all an ok game

really enjoyed this - accepting it for what it is - ...
Wife and daughter, who have read all the books at least twice, really enjoyed this - accepting it for what it is - rather than comparing critically.

dirt 3
i put of buying the game due to no very good reviews but decided to buy dirt 3 complete adition and was not disapointed i would say it is better than dirt 2.only down side in my opinion is that it would have benifited from more rally locations as there is only norway, finland, kenya, mitchigan, monte carlo and aspen overall still an enjoyable gamegraphics 9/10content 7/10overall gameplay 9/10

Flawless
With Dirt 3 there's absolutely nothing dragging the game down. Technically it is flawless; Codemasters have really reached the top of their game. The MP is fun, the singleplayer is expansive and the cars and tracks look incredible. Racing fans have no reason miss this game and people who are on the fence shouldn't be.

Amazing Simulator
I prefer simulators than action styled racing games, so i decides to pick up Dirt 3 at a pretty reasonable price here on Amazon.+ Seems very realistic, with a good handling model that adapts to different terrains etc...+ Good range of car choices+ Multiplier modes are unique and fun.
