This dress is BEAUTIFUL! NOT costume grade! I was not disappointed at all. Received lots of compliments while wearing it. Bought it for a medieval/fantasy wedding but I will be wearing this again anytime I get the chance. I ordered a medium and I am a 36D, 5'0", and about 128 lbs. Fits perfectly. It is adjustable around the rib cage in the front and back so it can fit smaller or slightly larger. The length was great for me because I am so short and I wanted a floor length dress. I only had to wear about a one inch heel, so know that the dress is shorter in length than most floor length dresses. I ordered the purple one but I feel like I would have loved this in any color because the dress is gorgeous. Definitely get a petticoat to give it a flare and complete the look!!!

This is a beautiful dress! As a plus sized woman, it can be hard to find dresses that fit well and look nice. I decided to go ahead and get this dress for our trip to the renaissance festival. I tried it on yesterday and it fit! I was very excited about that. In fact, I even had some extra room which was great. The dress itself is made of nice material. It is not "costume" material which is good since it is more expensive than most costumes out there. The material is light weight which I am happy about because it will keep me cooler. The only complaint I have about this dress is that it is a bit shorter than I had hoped. I prefer my dresses to go all the way down to the floor and this one goes more to my ankles, and I am not a tall woman at 5'4". It's not a huge deal, but just the one thing that I would change if I could. The color of this dress is just like in the picture which is VERY refreshing since so often pictures show the wrong color.Overall, I would recommend this dress, especially for the plus sized women out there who are having a hard time finding a dress that fits like it should.

I love this dress! the quality and fit are wonderful. The sizing is very forgiving. I was a little worried that it might be too small -- sometimes I wear a 3x and sometimes need a 4x, but the sizes only go up to 3x, so I took a chance and bought the 3x. It fits very comfortably, and because of the laces in front and back, it really could fit someone a full size smaller or larger and still look good. I was also worried it might not look right without a petticoat, but the fabric is heavy enought, and the skirt is so full, that it actually can be worn without any special undergarments (though of course would look even better with a corset and petticoat!) This is a perfect starter dress for RenFest newbies, or anyone who needs a quick and affordable period costume.Highly recommended!

Loved this! So much better than the photo. I bought the dress for a LOTR-style elf costume. It was perfect! (albeit, it was a bit more than I'd normally spend on a costume dress, but it's either this, something nearly $200 off of etsy, or the cheapo costume store style thing). The laces in the front and back give it a great style and make it easier to accentuate your curves. The fabric is heavy enough to feel substantial but super comfortable in a hot, crowded room. I haven't tried washing it yet, so I really hope that my review doesn't change dramatically after I do so. This dress definitely did the trick for Halloween last night. I got just as many compliments on the dress itself as I did on the costume overall!p.s. The attached photo does have a filter on it - the purple isn't QUITE that intense. It's a little deeper/more muted.

Dress fit exactly as expected. It's very comfortable and doesn't feel itchy on the skin. It's very airy and allows a good amount of air to flow through to keep you cool. It is made of 100% rayon. The color is exact to the picture shown, with a deep red and black. The lace is detailed and has a great design. There is a tie for the waist to cinch the dress to one's figure, which gives it a more shapely look. There is also a clearly visible tie in the front which allows one to tie a bow or whatever else one desires. Overall, the dress feels very well made and not cheap. I would recommend this product to anyone looking to partake in a renaissance faire or for a costume party.

The dress itself is beautiful and well made. Unfortunately I had to return it because it was too big. Looked like a tent. It wasn't flattering at all. It just doesn't hug the waste like it shows in the picture and you cannot adjust the laces to make it tighter.Also if you are tall this dress was just a little short. Thank good was for free returns. I'm sure it will look fabulous on someone else.

Based on customer feedback, I ordered a size up from my normal size. I found that the dress is a bit too baggy except for the chest area which was significantly tighter in proportion to the rest of the dress. The dress itself is beautiful and not, in my opinion, flimsy costume material. I'm a short person, 4ft11, and its slightly too long in length for me to wear flats with but the sleeves aren't too bad. It cinches at both the front and back so it will adjust to fit but the body of it definitely has extra fabric.If your large chested, I suggest ordering a size up. Otherwise, the size chart is pretty accurate.So, overall I'll be keeping this dress and it is very nice looking!

I ordered this for my sister to wear to a Renaissance festival. I'm quite impressed with the quality. There is nothing 'costume-y' about this dress. The lacing in the front AND the back will allow her to get a perfect fit. The detail is very nice and the fabric weight is substantial...not flimsy or sheer at all. Some of the reviews said this dress ran short. My sister is only five foot tall, and it will have to be shortened a couple of inches. I would definitely recommend this dress for a witch costume or to wear to a Renaissance festival.
