To be honest, I thought these lanterns would be a LOT larger. There are two in each package and about 3 inches in diameter and 2 inches deep. I put batteries in and turned them on. WOW! These really light up a large area. I took one into my large walk in closet. I guess I still didn’t really expect this little lantern to be bright enough. It was close in brightness to my overhead light in the closet. So, I am sure it could light a whole tent. There’s also three brightness modes, plus a strobe and an SOS flash. Not sure I’d find a use for the SOS mode, but I hear the strobe can confuse many animals (bears?) and scare them off. So, all in all, the small lanterns would be small enough to carry with you on a hike or store away with camping gear. As for me, I’m putting them in my car. If you do a lot of camping or hiking and are looking for small, very lightweight lights, these are the ones to get.

I got these lights for my kids to use at night when they read in bed at night. They have a nice latch on the handle that my kids hook on their bed and the light hangs above their head and works perfect! The light is small and so bright. They got up and went out of the room and their eyes had to adjust because the light was so bright. They have 5 modes, so the kids can turn down the brightness in another mode if they want. It also has a flashing mode which is fun when we go camping and they play outside at night. I am very happy with this purchase and how well the lights work!!

I bought these for use while camping. The clips are great, so I have them set up everywhere in the tent. The light brightness comes in 3 settings, with the brightest setting being the perfect amount if not maybe a little too bright. These also went through a rainstorm, and while water managed to get inside, after drying the light out... it still worked! They don't suck batteries dry when using them... however, they do drain batteries when they're not being used. So when you're done, take the batteries out. Also, I don't see a need for signaling, thus this option should be excluded from the light cycle when pressing the button. I would also like to see a red or yellow light option included as those colors tend to keep the bugs uninterested in swarming the light. Overall, a great portable camping light.

These are pretty bright lights and the hooks are handy. Loading the batteries is a little tricky as you have to get the two halves closed "just right" or the light won't work. One of the lights only flickered, so I had to take it apart, and clean the battery contacts with a pencil eraser. That cleared it up, in case this happens to you. The "contacts" are the flat pieces of metal that touch the two movable prongs inside the battery case.

I got this product right before the trip! The carabener like clip is graffy to use in or out of the tent. The bathrooms were a walk so I clipped it to my shirt. I live the different modes you can use for your lighting preference. AAA batteries are needed, but the lamps used little energy in 4 days! Will recommend!

ABSOLUTELY LOVE THEM!!! Have used them for so many things since received them the fit well in my purse so on Halloween clipped them to side of the kiddos trick r treat pail ..... PERFECT They could see where they were going & I could see them .... HAPPY MOM HERE!! And the price was very reasonable I’d i would have known I’d have bought more ...

These were so inexpensive but so handy. We have gone camping a few times now, and I bought the multi pack because I thought that they would be dim but I was very wrong. They are sort bright and there are different settings if you don't like it so bright. They are easy to pack, take up very Little room and easily moveable.

They are made sort of cheap but work fairly well for what we needed it for. We hung it up in our tent for three days and it was nice and bright.
