A respite for Paolini Fans
A book after almost 8 years of the last book released in the Inheritance cycle by Christopher Paolini brings us back to the World of Alagesia, with Eragon settling in the far east reaches of Alagesia along with Saphira, and the remaining eldunaris. Few dwarves, elves and urgals remain to help him build the dragon hold for the remaining unhatched dragons. It's a small snippet of Eragon's life, but mostly focusses on stories, one involving Angela's early days and another talking about urgal folklore. It's an enjoyable read for Eragon fans, and gives a respite to the seven year drought from the world of Alagesia. Do read it if you have already read the Inheritance cycle. Come back to it later if you haven't yet read the 4 book series.

Loved it!
As a fan of this author, loved being immersed in the fantasy world he paints again after a long time! Looking forward to his next books as they come!

Not worth the price
The kindle edition costs almost the same as the other books in the series with much less content. The only good story is "the worm". Reads like an unfinished product and does not deliver more on the Eragon universe.

Love the book. And the cover illustration is 💜 That being said, when this book initially came out, a lot of people said it was just a cannon dig to earn the writer a few more bucks. I strongly disagree. Was dying with curiosity to know what became of Eragon, and how he was working to revive the legacy of the Riders. It was so good of Paolini to give this thirst quencher; but when Murtagh made an appearance, I just wanted more. Then bam! There's a new book and unless you've read the Fork, the Witch and the Worm, you're missing the prelude! Looks like that sly Paolini knew what he was doing .... lol.

The hero we did not know we needed...
Paolini has woven magic that all of the Eldunari combined could not: mend a heart completely broken by the ending of the main series preceding these stories. Thank you Chris, and lots of love. My lips are wet with anticipation as im picking up Murtagh next...😍

Great story but Too Short for a Novel
The story continues from the inheritance cycle as it truly captivates the mind and brings back memories of events in Alagesia. However, the only disappointing factor was the length of the book interms of chapters and for an avid reader the book will finish in just two days. Also per page the words are too less as you can see from the screenshot, still it's worth buying, if you are an hardcore fan of the trilogy like me.

Very good book as always, I only wish he would continue with Eragon's story as I think a lot more could be done with that character.

Having read all of the series books except Murtaugh I recommedd this book. I was puzzled by the size of the paperback(Mini book?). Size or not well worth reading
