Does what I need it to!
I bought this to replace the felt mat on my new turntable. Seriously, why spend more on a fancy platter mat?!? All the cheap rubber ones when I was a kid worked back then, why not the cheapest one they sell on here now?!?

It works.
It's rubber, it's round and it's cheap. What more can you ask? I would by again!

Cheap and good enough
I bought this to slap on a vintage table I was selling on FB Marketplace. Perfect fit on a vintage Pioneer. I can't say whether it 'enhanced the midrange' or anything sonic... it's a rubber mat and you sit LP's on it. If you need a cheap one, this is a good option.

Perfect Design
I thought I was loosing my hearing or I needed new speakers. Not any more.I needed a 7" rubber mat without the small raised area at the spindle hole that you find on other brands. I wanted this pad to be smooth and flat so my 45 spindle adopters would lay good and flat. I purchased this mat and carefully cut out the inner portion for a perfect rubber mat for 45 singles. I put this on a 12" acrylicmat so I won't need to worry about dropping the stylus outside the small drop area on 45's. I put the acrylic platter smooth side up as this rubber mat has the depression needed for the record label. So far, so good.I ordered another one of these rubber mats for 12" 33's. This will eliminate any adjustment for the tonearm height when switching between 45's and 33's. I replaced the cork mat I was using with this rubber mat. So, what I have is this rubber mat on top of a 3mm acrylic mat smooth side up on a 0285 cork mat so I can get my finger nails under the acrylic should I need to remove it.With this new set up and having the tonearm properly adjusted I plopped a 12" LP on all this and couldn't believe how good it sounded. I can honestly say I can hear a great improvement. Maybe it was replacing the cork pad with this rubber and getting the anti-skate where it belongs.Don't use an acrylic platter to adjust the anti-skate as some would say to do. After some research, I found out that this is bunk. Finally, I think this mat is better than the factory rubber mat that came with my turntable. This mat is smooth and records will lay flush on it. Using a record puck with this should eliminate any sonic distortions.

I ran to write this review.
I was listening to a record using the felt mat that came on an entry level record player I recently purchased. Mid song, this rubber mat was delivered and thought, why don’t I restart the song with the new rubber mat. Now I understand what audiophiles mean when instruments sounds “muddy” or “brighter”. After I using the rubber mat, I could recognize the trumpets and wood block were clearer and more distinct. Listening with the felt mat was fine but compared to a rubber mat it’s as if the trumpets had a slight underwater tone. Look guys, I’m new to records, I don’t have the correct vocabulary but I truly feel the rubber mat truly makes a difference in a good way.
