BRUFER 203651-2 Hatchet Axe with Wood Handle 800g 28oz

Bought this as an axe throwing axe. Obviously not what it’s for but, the handle separated from the head after a few throws. Much quicker than any axe should, I’d be concerned if I was chopping wood with it. I’m glad I had already thrown this axe across the forest when it fell apart.

Now, this is an axe. I bought a flimsy axe just before making this purchase for a few dollars more. That axe was much smaller and lighter than this one. With this axe, I wouldn't be surprised if I can chop down a Redwood...

Was going to use this as a spare thrower. Broke right at the base of the axe head after 2 good throws.

If you don’t know what you’re doing with an ax then you shouldn’t be throwing one, ask somebody what happens when you don’t take care of the wood on any wooden handle tool.

I removed the rubber handle butt cap and threw it out. Then sanded the handle until it was smooth and applied linseed oil. Still working on the linseed oil (once a day for a week, once a week for a month, once a month for a year).I did spend quite a bit of time putting an edge on with a stone, but now I have a sweet, good looking axe which I will keep in the car trunk so it's always handy.Spend some time and elbow grease and you'll have a very nice hatchet/axe for the money; after all it is very affordable.
