Works great once you figure out how to assemble it.
Previous reviews suggest drilling is not required, however, on my polycarbonate greenhouse I needed to drill holes on the upper window frame to get the brackets to line up in the correct way so that the window opened. My initial installation using just the brackets didn't work - the hinge was either stuck shut or stuck open depending on how I attached it. Watching the YouTube video is a must before you start as it's really useful and ultimately led me to realising why it wasn't working and that I needed to drill two holes to attach the bracket in the correct place. Now it is fitted correctly it feels very sturdy and works really well. Happy with my purchase and it looks like it will last a long time.

Stronger than it looks
Fitted this to an Eden aluminium greenhouse. The only problem was the depth of the frame that the roof window closes onto - 4.5cm (where the old window stays used to fit). As the bottom bracket has to be fitted under this frame it means that the window bracket and sill bracket of the opener are 5cm apart before they start moving. If you watch the manufacturer's video, the upper and lower arms are parallel when the window is closed. It should open to 45cm but the best I've achieved so far is 30cm at 35C, which may be because of the design of my window. Other models of greenhouse may not have this issue.

Good, sturdy Autovent
This is a sturdy, powerful, autovent. It works well. I've knocked a star off because the instructions could be better! They refer to a hole on the autovent that is not even on the product, and generally are not very helpful. Perhaps it's the translation from the original Danish? I don't know. The product is really good, once you've figured out how it is best to fit it. I recommend the product, but not the instructions in English.

Did the job
I needed (well, would have liked) a larger G/House. my existing one was only 4ft* 4ft. But available space dictated. So I removed one side and added a timber frame extension. Incorporated a window (the original 4*4 didn't have one) and fitted the window opener. Very pleased with it. Easier to fit than I thought it would be.

Excellent automatic vent
I'm very pleased with this. It is a replacement for one which had stopped working. It wasn't quite a straight replacement and, despite my having watched YouTube guides to fitting the opener it wasn't quite as straightforward as I hoped. Then again, they rarely are, are they? Once I'd realised, though, that things were not going to line up exactly as they had been before, and that the bottom bar of the frame could move to accommodate the difference, all was well and it's been working perfectly ever since.

Damaged my Halls Popular greenhouse due to a serious design flaw
I bought the heavy duty Ellovent for my Halls greenhouse. I chose this model as it can be deactivated in seconds, allowing a window to be kept shut during storms. It looks well built, primarily aluminium with steel springs. I originally fitted it on the vent nearest the door. Fitting was fairly straightforward, albeit a little fiddly. The one drawback was that it protruded quite far into the greenhouse when the window is closed and I banged my head several times. I also didn’t like the way the lower clamp attached to the greenhouse frame, as it twisted around instead of staying in place. I decided to move it to the other vent where I would be less likely to bang my head on the cylinder. I connected it using the existing pre-drilled holes, as seen in the photo, which happened to fit perfectly. I went back later that day and discovered that the opener on opening had bent the lower greenhouse frame through 45 degrees. I removed it with considerable difficulty. and unfortunately the frame is still noticeably bent i.e. it is damaged. It doesn’t show clearly in a photo, but it is the aluminium strut that connects to the lower arm of the opener that has bent. One arm of the opener is also bent. Looking at the photo I took after installing it the second time, I can see the problem. I installed it incorrectly, such that the lower arm was not able to rotate, and instead it rotated the greenhouse frame. This is a design flaw, as it is far too easy to make this mistake. This is not made clear in the instructions. I feel angry that this product damaged my greenhouse. It has a design flaw that can damage the frame of a greenhouse if installed incorrectly. which is too easy to do. I also have the single spring opener (Thermovent) made by the same Danish company installed on a second vent. It clamps on perfectly unlike the heavy duty opener. It too can be disengaged, although it is a bit tedious and takes a minute or two as the cylinder has to be unscrewed. It does not protrude into the greenhouse, hence it is in my view a better product.

Works very well on my greenhouse window. Bit fiddley to fit though

Does the job well, however…
I had no problem assembling this of attaching it to the greenhouse. However, one part did not articulate as it should and I had to file a tiny bit off to make it work. Since my minor modification, it has worked consistently well.
