Best Sunscreen Product I've Tried. Period.
I have tried 20 different non-chemical sunscreens and this one is by far the best. It might sound silly to say that being able to discreetly wear an SPF50 sunscreen daily without my eyes stinging and without looking like I was wearing sunscreen has made my life better, but it does, and I am very thankful I found this stuff. If you're reading this review I'll just assume you already believe that mineral (especially Zinc) based sunscreens are superior to chemical based sunscreens because they sit on top of your skin without absorbing into your bloodstream. That being said I'll just cut to why I have found this Amavara sunscreen to be better than every other mineral sunscreen I've tried, without compromise.-First and foremost, the tint is perfect. I can wear it all day and no one knows I'm wearing it. THAT'S HUGE. Nothing is a bigger buzzkill than having to wear stark white sunscreen when everyone else looks completely normal. It works for my skin tone and also my girlfriend's skin tone, even though she's slightly darker than I am. Actually, the other day I noticed my sunscreen wasn't where I left it, and when I asked my girlfriend about it she admitted that she had been using it as foundation...the tint is that good. (It also reminded me to write this review haha)-I look better wearing it than I do without it.-The finish is perfectly matte.-It's easy to put on and spread around, neither too runny nor too pasty.-It also stays put! Hiking, sweating, even in the water! I surf with it every day here in san diego. No eye stinging, and I even use it on my eyelids which is the new protocol. If your'e looking for the flip side of the coin, the "cons", I'll tell you this - I have literally tried every single tinted and un tinted mineral sunscreen I could get my hands on, and spent hundreds of dollars doing so. Amavara has been by far the best mixture of every feature I could ask for, even though other products do get some things right!-I found one other product with a comparably nice tint, but it literally never dried, so it would rub off on clothes or my hands if I touched my face later, and it literally said on the bottle that it's not meant to go in the water.-I also tried one other product that stays on better in the water, like glue, but it was SO hard to wash off i don't think it's worth the extra trouble.-and there's a plethora of products that don't get a single thing right, crumbly chalky yellow tree pollen looking pastes that are still expensive and seriously make me question if a single person ever bought the product twice.-And for what it's worth I have never found a "clear" or untinted zinc to be actually clear, just throwing that out there. So anyway, as someone who wears sunscreen EVERY DAY, from surfing, to work, to weddings...I'm thankful I came across Amavara and I would recommend it to anyone looking for the best sunscreen available.

By far the best zinc sunscreen I've used
One of the fellas at the beach was talking this stuff up, so I decided to give it a try. I have used both the SPF 30 and SPF 50 sunscreen lotion products heavily since. I'm in SoCal and in the ocean almost daily. And my use of these Amavara products has been in what is a record breaking hot summer for us here. And the water has been warmer than ever on record, so I have been at the beach more than ever. This is by far the best zinc sunscreen I've used. I love the not-greasy-at-all application. The lotion sinks right in and leaves my hands dry and skin moisturized and well protected. The pump mechanism is great for dosing applications too. This stuff is not cheap so it helps me use only what I need. The box says "water resistant 80 minutes" but mine kept me protected for way longer ocean sessions. Not that it matters to me too much, but I notice that Amavara sunscreen does not leave a pasty white film color like the others do. I highly recommend this sunscreen.

Decent buy
Not sure how protective it is. But it is thick, doesn't leave a cast. Takes a bit of time to dissolve. Makes me sweat a lot more.I am dark skinned and the lotion is tinted so I like it.

Heavy, greasy, difficult to remove; good full coverage
This product arrived well packaged. Quick delivery. It is very thick, and does not spread easily. It is browner than Obagi tinted sun protection and much heavier. It isn’t as greasy as Anthelios tinted sun screen, but it is greasy and remains a little sticky. Obagi and Anthelios are better skin tone match, this product is dark brown even when spread out on skin. My skin is a cool pink undertone, so it is not a good match. It doesn’t set well. I tried powder on the top to set, but that just made a mess. Tomorrow I will try using a primer under it, because it is also very difficult to fully remove it from skin even with a makeup remover and soap. I haven’t tried it under a foundation yet, but that is because I can’t seem to get it to set, yet. I have some scars on my nose, and this does completely cover them, so it has a very dense and heavily pigmented wear. But, it smudges off into clothing, so you need to be careful, or find a way to get it to set. It does have good sun protection, and my skin (which is sensitive) has no reaction. I would give it a higher review if it were not so sticky and greasy.

Didn't like it 😕
It is really thick and my skin had break outs just after the first use. I tried using this product after taking few days off from it, and same thing happened. Product is really pasty and sticks on the face unless its mixed with some moisturizer. I ended up not using this product and would not buy it again.

Good tinted sunscreen
This is a really good wearable mineral face sunscreen. Indo not wear makeup so I can't say how it does under makeup but on its own its pretty wonderful. I have very dry skin and many sunscreens ferl so tight after a few hours I cant wear them, but this was hydrating and felt great ALL DAY. it's very thick but not hard to rub in and the tint worked well for me. Im a badic white girl lol, not too fair but not even close to tan. The tint was enough to look like I had a nice sunkissed tan. The description says translucent or that it rubs in translucent but it is definately tinted.....Sunscreen smell but not overwhelming. Overall a great option .

Really good coverage
I have two pretty bad melasma spots on my skin (refractory to laser therapies), and so high zinc oxide concentration (this one has > 22%) and iron oxide (which usually comes with anything with tint) are what provides good protection againt UVs and blue lights.. This one is surprisingly good. No, it won't spread as well as a lotion-y chemical or low-level mineral sunsccreen, but it does feel like it gives you a better physical block against the harsh sun ray. After spreading with my fingers, it blends well with real skin tone, but best of all, I feel more protected with this sunscreen. Others I like also are All Good sunscreen that comes in the round tin can (for portability when I do long mountain hikes) and Anthelios mineral sunscreen (leaves a bit of a white cast though).
