Bassetts Jelly Babies 12.34 Oz

I've had these on trips to England before and really wanted to share the experience with my kids. Bought this and was really happy with the product. It's exactly what I had in England. It was well worth the cost. It only lasted us a few days but that's only because everyone - wife included - kept wanting "just one more, please." If you want the real Jelly Babies, buy these. You will not regret your decision.

Raised with jelly babies in the 40s myself, they became a favorite of my sons when I would bring them back from holidaying in Britain or relations would visit here. Sometimes I'd find them at World Market but that necessitated a special trip. Now Amazon carries them and I can get them whenever I want. I always buy them at Christmas and now my grandchildren yell, "Oh, jelly of babies!" There's something about the texture and flavor so that is so addictive. Absolutely love them, and I'm 79 now.

Yes, I only buy them because of my love for the old Dr Who. The revived series is a complete write off--nothing but a virtue signalling diversity vehicle. Jelly Babies take me back to the 1980s when I watched reruns of the show on Public Television and to a much better time in history. It's not so much the taste of this candy which I like, but the feeling I get when remembering my childhood.

Simply awful, the darker ones left a bad taste in my mouth and the lighter ones had no taste at all. Not the flavors I had remembered and the colors of the candy seemed washed out (you could not tell the difference between the orange and the red unless you looked carefully. No idea what went wrong with it all. Would not purchase them again, which is a shame because I do love Jelly Babies..

These taste great. Really high quality food like product. Also, 99% of the Fourth Doctor cosplayers will be walking around with Gummy Bears. If you really want geek points, carry a paper bag of these.

These Bassette's Jelly Babies are nothing short of brilliant.Their iconography for having the 4th Doctor(played by Tom Baker)is unmatched where he even offers one to one of his arch enemies Davros(who promptly threw it on the floor mind you).These things come in flavors of strawberry,lime,lemon,raspberry,grape and orange.These things are really sweet and are an addicting treat worth the importing for Yanks such as myself. For any Whovian worth their knowledge of the universe,it is a must to try these little critters out.

It was my first time buying them on Amazon and was a little disappointed on the order. The Jelly Babies themselves were amazing and awesome all around, but I have two gripes with the company. First, is the size was wrong, I ordered 600g of them and got 540. Not a huge difference but it would be nice if they double check their orders before sending them out. Second, is the packaging it came in was crushed and so was the Jelly Baby box as well. The thing I would suggest to the company is to invest in some sturdier boxes and packaging since they go from one side of the world to the other for my order. Other than those two things I am pretty sure I'll be ordering again soon.

As a fan of many British television series, I decided I had to see for myself just what these Jelly Babies that are always being discussed really are. What I have learned is they are simply delicious! They remind me of the way US candies tasted prior to the high fruitcose corn syrup products which now plague our candy aisles. I am certainly not confusing these Jelly Babies with health food, but there is something about them that is far more enchanting than the common US gum drop!The shipping time for them was much faster than the several weeks estimate that was originally given. My minor point of "minus one" star criticism would be only that the product I received was actually the 540g box, and not a 600g one. I read other reviews in which people complained of this mix up, as well, so perhaps the existence of a 600g box is really just fiction? Buyers may wish to cut to the chase, and not bother with coordinating a make up order/refund by simply ordering the 540g box from the get-go...
