LRI FMO Photon Freedom LED Keychain Micro-Light, Orange Beam

The media could not be loaded.  The Photon brand is my favorite little "mini light". I don't throw these out- I replace the batteries with 2 2016 Eveready's and they last for about 20 hours of continuous use or about 12 months of infrequent use. They claim 4.5 lumens of light, my disposable one's probably give out about 1 lumen of light.This model comes with a clip that you can attach to a hat that also has a magnet on it and a lanyard for around your neck- 2 nice new features. To get out of the demonstration mode from the factory, turn the light on and hold it for about 20 seconds. This also has an SOS and strobe mode.This is my 5th Photon purchase, I also own the Photon rechargeable (which they stopped making) and the one with the on/off switch and the original one without the on/off switch and just the push button. Customer service at Photon is excellent- there is a lifetime guarantee on this product (under normal use, not abuse).You won't be disappointed with this purchase. You get what you pay for and this light is worth it's weight in gold. If I was a hiker or a mountain climber, this is the mini light that I would trust my life with. This is my second of the Freedom Micro lights to buy, I lost my first one and finally got around to replacing it. The first light I had was the white which was super bright and worked great for a wide variety of uses. I keep my light on my key chain since I carry my keys with me almost everywhere its nice to have a flashlight at all times. This time I decided to go with the RED LED hoping that it will help when using the light at night so it doesn't mess with my eyes once they are adjusted to the dark.I thought about going with the older version that has a switch since I'll by carrying the light in my pocket the majority of the time but I love the different functions that are included with the light. For it to be in such a small package its nice to be able to dim the light, have three different strobing functions, a built in SOS mode and the Morse code mode.For the price and the size of this light its hard to go wrong getting one.

I had read elsewhere that dogs can't see green light so I bought the nite vision green colored light so I don't wake up the dog when I get up at night. Apparently my dog hasn't read the same article because it does wake her up. However, I think the flashlight anyway and think that the quality is excellent. My only gripe is that I think even for a high quality product it is overpriced, but that's my opinion.

This is an excellent little key chain light, particularly suited for astro-landscape and other night photography or for astronomy and star gazing events. I carry this in my pocket, on my key chain at all times, so I have it handy when needed. I specialize in night photography where you blind yourself and ruin other people's photos if you shine around a bright light. This little light here can be turned off and on at full brightness, but it can also be dimmed by holding down the button and slowly phasing the light in until the desired level is reached. At the dimmest setting, this is almost invisible to others, but provides enough light to see the controls of your camera or telescope. Not the cheapest little light, but about the same amount as other astronomy lights and much smaller. The batteries last quite long (about 1.5 years) and are replaceable. Very highly recommended!

I hate writing bad reviews, however the advertising is so misleading that I had to.I primarily bought this mini flashlight because it's small, easy to carry and I could affix it to a baseball cap, and have both hands free. - Nope..., not possible!!a) It doesn't come with a clip. In fact it only comes with what you see in the photo.b) When turned on, it won't stay on for more than a few seconds...ie; even if it could be affixed to a cap, it could not be used hands free. I also liked that it had multiple settings. It does NOT. It has a range of brightness, but no SOS etc...This is not as big a deal, and would not have resulted in such a bad review on it's own.Besides, it might lack multiple settings because I choose a green light (low visibility), therefore it's signaling ability would be useless, and an SOS signal would not be seen.I read elsewhere that this is a high quality lights for its size and price.Maybe it is, HOWEVER I CAN'T USE IT FOR THE PURPOSE I BOUGHT IT FOR, because they lied about it.So, I might not have opportunities to use it enough to find out how good it is.

very small and durable, very bright light that lasts for weeks after several hours of flow arts/poi practice. they take a beating and keep going. they stay on until you manually turn them off and you can even make them flash as well as change the brightnesses. (lower brightness settings even give the glowsticks a cool strobe effect while spinning them)

absolutely brilliant although not worked out the flashing mode yet very bright good for catching someones attention at distance love it

I used to use those cheap and very similar LED keychains from dealextreme, like 2$ per 10. This one is more expensive but also worth it. Build quality is far better and it has more modes and beam is stronger. I chose the green version as it gives light at night without getting our eyes used to it. I mean the moments when you turn on and off white light in the dark, your eyes kind of hurt and have to get used to dark/light/dark/light ;) with green light no problem.The added clip and the lanyard might be useful (the clip has little magnets so you can attach it to metal surface, and you can move the clip 360 degrees). The only disadvantage is that its inconvinient to carry the light and the clip with f.e. your keys. I carry only the light with my keys- on a small carabiner it's a nice set ;) no wonder that the astronauts reveived them to be used in the space :))

"... das extrem helle Licht ..." ist tatsächlich - zumindest in der blauen Ausführung - eine ziemliche Enttäuschung. Würde ich nicht noch einmal kaufen.

For the money, there really isn't anything as reliable or that functions as well and offers the lighting options that these do.I have over 8 of these myself on various keyrings and in various places. I buy them regularly as gifts for people who tell me they end up doing the same for others, so impressed have they been with them.Nuff said.

This torch met my needs being small, simple to operate and had adjustable brightness.However, after using the torch just a few times it started to fail. At first it would only stay on when the button was being pressed and soon after it failed completely and wouldn't turn on at all. Trying a new battery didn't make any difference. The light does come briefly (~ 1 sec) after inserting the battery so I assume it's the switch at fault.So when it works this torch is great but for me that was less than a fortnight, so I'd suggest not wasting your money or time on this junk.
