Chris Freytag 15" x 11" Non-Stick Red Health Grill

Been using this grill for several months now and I can only say it's probably the best I ever used. I can grill meat, cook french fries, onion rings, etc. all at the same time and everything comes out great. The reason I'm only giving it 4 stars is that it is kind of akward to handle. The glass cover is heavy and gets very hot. Make sure you use an oven mitt to lift it and have some counter space to put it down on when taking it off during grilling to check on the food. I love the fact that the drip pan sits on the bottom and there is no spilling of grease anywhere around the pan. Yet, at the same time, it is hard to clean if you only a double sink. The same goes for the grill itself. I live in an apartment and have limited kitchen space all around so it would be very difficult for me to use it here. I took the grill to my son's place, where I cook a lot and it makes it much easier there as he still has one of those nice older steel sinks that has plenty of room for the drip pan and the grill to clean. I really think that this is more for the outdoors than indoors. When I saw it first advertised on QVC last year it sounded like it was perfect for indoor use. I went on Amazon after to check it out some more and actually got it much cheaper here, plus free S/H. I'm still glad I bought it and use it at least once a week. it is very well constructed, good quality. If just the cleaning was a little easier LOL..

I seen this grill on QVC several times and just never completely decided to order it. Once I did, after researching it, I found it on Amazon for a cheaper and with no shipping charges. I ordered it, recevied it with no problem, and used it right away. I love it!! Very easy to use, the cover is a great feature, and the fact that it cleans easily and can be put in the dishwasher add to it. It also really is nonstick!!At first the only concern I had, was that when the box arrived, it had QVC on the box. I wondered why if I did not order it from QVC, after really examining the package it appeared it was a QVC return. I was a bit uncomfortable with that, but it was completely packaged in a way that made me realized it had not been previously used and since I used it right away there were no issues about quality.I would highly recommend it!!

This is an electric grill with a small griddle area. What makes it a little nicer than others on the market is the lightweight design (the base is lightweight - not the grill or lid) portability and easy cleaning. I line my drip tray with as many as give or six pieces of tin foil. Clean up is a breeze! I toss out the top sheet of used foil (sometimes two sheets if the food was really greasy) wipe down the grill area for later use of throw everything in the dishwasher. Truly non-stick, my chicken breasts never stick and even my scrambled eggs came out perfect! The cooking guide on the handle, while not always best if you prefer your steak grilled medium/rare, is a good reminder of recommended temperatures.The griddle area could be larger, but then you sacrifice grill space.. I suppose the need varies with the meal. This electric grill is best for preparing food for only one or two people, unless you don't mind grilling in small batches. This grill fit our need as apartment dwellers, and continues to serve well even now in our house. Even my husband uses it, and he has his own grill out in the backyard!

The grill lived up to all my expectations. On high setting, its temperature is 375 degrees but don't worry, it is hot enough to sear steaks. I had very minimal smoke when grilling meats. When doing vegies, there was more noticable smoke. The main reason I chose this over the sanyo was because it came with cover and is dishwasher safe. The cover keeps the splatter to a minimum and the dishwasher makes for easy clean-up. One reviewer mentioned using wet paper towels right after grilling to clean the grill surface and that works perfectly. Right after i'm done grilling, I'll turn off the grill then grab the wet towels with tongs and wipe down the grill surface while its still hot. I do it twice and that gets all the black burnt residue off. The only complaint I have is that the drip tray is very shallow so it may be tricky removing it to empty it out without spilling. My remedy for that was just to not fill it up to the line, only enought to cover the bottom of the tray. Overall, i am very happy with the grill, especially at the low price Amazon had it for.

The grill arrived with sections of non stick coating missing around the top edge. Instead of the dark coating it had silver metal showing on one side. I called the number provided with the warranty and explained the problem. A new grill was sent to me. When it arrived it had a corner that was dented and silver metal showing. It looked worse than the original grill I had. It seemed to have been packed well and the box it arrived in was in good shape. It made me think that the grill may have been damaged before it was wrapped in bubble wrap and packed in the shipping box. I once again called the warranty dept. I was told that I could use it because the coating was not off in the grill cooking area. I was told I would have to send it back to West Bend and then wait and see if it would be replaced because even though it looked bad it would still be functional.  Chris Freytag K20911 11x15-inch Nonstick Health Grill (Black)

I just recently purchased this thing and its a life saver literally. Let me start off by saying I'm a male so im not the best around the kitchen but I make it happen. This thing is so simple to use my 7yr probaly could use it. Make a whole breakfast within just minutes love it you will to for the price it's a no brainer easy win compared to the big boys.

This is an absolutely wonderful grill. Juicy meat every time. Simple to use. Just about can't mess food up with this one. My one and only complaint? I had only used it about 5 times when it messed up. When I plugged the cord into the unit, nothing happened. Figured I had a dud for the power cord - contacted customer service by email twice and asked for another cord. No response. Just be aware that customer service on this item stinks. However, if your grill works, then it's some good food!
