We have a 65 lbs GSD who scratched several holes on the center console of my wife's new car the first time we took her for a ride even though she was leashed to the seat-belt buckle... So we absolutely need a pet barrier. We tried one with loose mesh and it did not last long because she could stick her claws through, chew it and easily tear it apart. I'm glad this one has dense mesh and also good elasticity (to buffer the momentum of our big girl and reduce her impact) and so far it's been working fine.

The fabric of the netting is so thin that if a large dog scratched or tried to climb the barrier it almost would certainly rip. Works for my dog as he is pretty laid back but if you hav a very playful energetic dog you may want to get something else.

The mesh barrier serves the purpose I was looking for, however, I give it a 4.0 because the bungee cords that mount it to the headrests and under the seat could be a bit stronger. They have a very small end to them and the cord itself if very thin. My dogs heavy head laying across the top of the mesh barrier to look around was able to easily snap off one of the cords end completely off. I have since gotten stronger cords that are working fine now. At least it keeps them from standing on the center console or climbing up front and the price was very reasonable.

How hard is it to put instructions in with a product? There are several cords with no explanation as to what goes where. And the "instructions" offered on the item description page are a joke. Buy something else.

This works so well for us, no more fussing with our border collie mix to keep her in the back seat! II love this product ! If anyone looking for a barrier this is a great one just make sure you install it properly.

This does the job well to keep our adorable dog DouDou from trying to take over the drivers seat. I'd originally wondered if such a car barrier would do the trick but it definitely does. So now he can sit comfortably in the back seat. It even included a seat belt that allowed me to take my dog with me when I was traveling, so I didn't have to worry about him affecting my driving. Great price, fast delivery and top notch product
