This product is good value for money

This is currently the second least expensive pack per kg of erythritol sold by Amazon. The cheapest is only slightly so, but is a very coarse grind. This has a fine grind similar to caster sugar, which I like better.It's a big bag, but I've kept a set of sturdy 1kg plastic erythritol jars from another Amazon merchant (who seems to have been out of stock for awhile) and just fill those from the bag for a more practical intermediate storage.Otherwise it's just like any other erythritol: it's a natural sugar alcohol derived from corn or wheat starch, it tastes like sugar and has no unpleasant aftertaste, the sweetness is around 70% of sugar (so I just use a little bit more), it has no laxative effect (which xylitol unfortunately has), the glycemic index is zero, and it has basically no calories. Perfect for sweetening coffee or tea, but don't try to make syrup or lemonade base from it, as it then crystallises into a hard block after awhile.

This is the second type of erythritol we have tried, and the choice for this one was based on price.The quality is just as good as the NKD Living one we had previously, in fact I think this might be a little bit finer.It blitzes well to create a no-calorie replacement for icing sugar.Remember that this is not as sweet as sugar (you need to bump it up by about one third by weight, or add some pure stevia powder to it).

Excellent sweetner used mainly in drinks

I love erythritol as a zero-calorie sweetener that doesn't cause digestive upset (when so many do), and I go through loads of it. So this very large bag is perfect for my needs.There's _a lot_ of bag, though -- you have to reach in quite deep to get to the erythritol even when it's full. I keep a small scoop in there and fill up a glass jar from it for daily use. That way, I've managed to avoid any spillage. And the zip closure (which can be such a problem with granules and powders) works really well.

Love this. Zero cal, zero carb. Just like sugar. Much cheaper than sukrin1, and great value buying in 5kg like this.
