I use these Mepps lures on my 3/4 weight fly rod when the going gets tough. Also easily applied to any lightweight spinning tackle.Just caught about 5 trout this past weekend in thirty minutes with these after missing several hook-ups on flies while fishing in Ansel Adams Wilderness.Also will catch-Black Bass-Panfish.......i'm sure it will catch other species but this is the extent of my success.
