NETGEAR Nighthawk WiFi 6 Router (RAX30) 5-Stream Dual-Band Gigabit Router, AX2400 Wireless Speed (Up to 2.4 Gbps), Coverage Up to 2,000 sq.ft. and 20 Devices

I needed an access point added to my network. I purchased this item because 1) It would handle the high speed of my internet provider 2) It would broadcast a good signal for coverage that I was trying to cover 3) low cost. I am not a network/tech guy at all. I was able to connect the router to my internet and used the app to update and install it as a modem. Great now I have a 2nd router but I wanted to use it as an access point not as a router. After it was installed as a router easily able to change the settings on my laptop to make it an access point. It was literally a click of one button and the router made all changes needed to make it an access point. The access point (router) was placed in my garage. It has such good coverage that the TV's in my house now connect to the new access point rather than the original router, even though the TV's are much closer to the original router. Overall a great product. It was sold as a used unit but it had everything in it to set up. It was like new. Shipped and received extremely fast. I live in a rural community and I had it within 2 days even though there was a holiday when I ordered it. I couldn't be happier with the business that sold it to me or with the product. Not the best. Stopped working after a while. I would lose internet every 30 minutes or so.

purchased 3/2025 RAX30 : The RAX30 router was working until I installed the latest firmware. (RAX30-V1.0.13.102 5/8/2024 file date in the zip file availalbe from the support page ) Then the usb readyshare function stopped and caused me to believe that something happened to my pc. However all other pcs at my home also had the same issue. After much time I started to reset the router firmware back to the 1st firmware that I found on the support page. The router worked and readyshare worked. My testing has found that the last 3 versions of the firmware had different levels of issues with the readyshare ability. Note I have 4 other netgear routers and my last router was the R6200v2 and it also has non functioning readyshare on its last version of its firmware. I expect the last version of firmware to work when I buy a new product that is close to being retired. Netgear needs to ensure firmware that is issued works. So I have always used netgear routers and they are stable and sound for internet connections, but readyshare fails to work on the latest firmware of RAX30 and R2600v2. You can use prior versions to get the readyshare function to work.

I recently relocated to a new home and encountered some challenges with my network connectivity. To address this issue, I decided to purchase a router to expand the coverage area of my Wi-Fi network. As someone who is not very familiar with networking and the setup process beyond what my internet provider offered, I found this product to be highly effective and user-friendly. The instructions were clear and straightforward, allowing me to configure it as a wireless bridge successfully. However, I am now interested in exploring the option of setting up my network configuration myself for greater control and customization. I am thankful for this product. I am exploring more products from Netgear.
