Best money I ever spent
I live in Minnesota...which means...mosquitoes....all the time everywhere you turn. I have wanted a screened porch for years and my husband kept saying he would build me one. Well before I have to move to the old folks home I decided I was going to get my screened porch and not wait on him to build it for me:) So I ordered this...WE ALL LOVE IT....and I mean WE LOVE IT. It fit on one side of our back deck perfectly. You can position the door anywhere you want it. It comes in a huge box and is put together like an accordian....most of it is already put together. I've read horror stories about how hard this thing was to put together. Not so. My son in law and my husband did it in less than ONE HOUR...it was EASY EASY EASY. We added small L-brackets on the bottom interior to adhere it to the decking and it went through 70mph winds this summer, numerous storms and didnt budge an inch. Its so roomy inside. Inside I put our oval iron table and 4 chairs...a wicker chair and wicker side table....a wicker loveseat and a two person iron swing with a side table....and had plenty of room to walk around. It added that extra wonderful summer room to our home and we used all summer long. One of the nicest times out there was when it would rain...I could sit on the swing in there and listen to the rain and yet not get wet. Just wonderful. But best of all???? NO BUGS WHAT SO EVER !!!...REally it is one of my most favorite purchases ever. Very well built and EASY to set up. Delivery was quicker than I was told. Excellent product which my entire family highly recommends.update 5/15/2017 we still love our screened porch. We are just now ordering another door latch assembly not because it doesn't work but because my husband misplaced the original set. other than that the porch is still sturdy and in excellent shape. We do take care of our things so the screens do not have holes and the roof is always stored properly so its in great shape. We love this screened porch and after several seasons of use the price we paid has proven to be a bargain.

Good house, needs better packaging for shipment
We loved having this house on our deck this summer. It was roomy and let us sit outside when before the mosquitoes would have driven us indoors. It took a few hours to set up and about 90 minutes to take down. Setup will probably be faster next year. The roof is very taut which is a good thing, but it required a sunny day to make the plastic pliable enough to work with. Getting the first few grommets loose in the cool fall was a challenge.I screwed 1x3 around the outside edge of our deck to make a square, and used offset clamps (used to hold prints and paintings in frames) to secure the bottom of each section to the wooden deck. Way cheaper than the expensive clamps the manufacturer offers, and worked well.Other reviews have complained about the door. My deck is pretty level, and the door worked just fine. It wouldn't take much off-level to rack the door frame to the point where it would no longer close properly. It came with some minor bends in 2 of the panel center braces. No big deal, but the packaging was not robust and I didn't want the hassle of trying to get a replacement. Hence the 4 stars instead of 5.

Casita 12 panel sq. 21122 screen house
This is my 2nd casita screenhouse. The 1st one is over 20 years old. It's still up and used daily. The 1st one was directly in sun from 8am till about 6pm central usa. Roof covers only lasted about 3 years then became brittle. Many years ago, I installed a steel sun roof and attached the walls permanently to the posts with 2x4s. This new one is at a new house and in shade 60% of the time, so I expect the roof to last at least 4-5 years. I keep the sides up 12 months a year. I used the curly screw dog anchors (18 inches) into the ground, on all 4 sides and bolted with nuts to the bottom besides adding another wire with the wire they supply for anchoring. It was only up 2 weeks, a 75mph wind came through the area last night, and because of the dog anchors and 2 wires over the frame tie downs, its still standing..no problem. Trees and limbs down all around the area. Putting it up does require at least 2 people. Lay it down to open box. Take out all items except the large frame itself. Now, set up upright (arrows on box). Remove box while still standing up. Now its like an accordian. Unfold it, find the corners and where you want the door... set it on your footing (concrete.. Patio bricks.. wooden patio) (I use patio bricks (8x16). hence the dog anchors.) Put up roof supports. The roof... is important... There is One CUTOUT in the side of the roof tarp for the door. FIND that cutout 1st, and make sure it will be OVER the door. Once up, the door may be a problem. I had to achor both sides (frame) of the door to make it work properly. If it moves, the door will slide and not work at all. I run an ALL WEATHER extension cord over the frame, under the tarp inside and now I have radio, lights, or general cook top electric. I use my daily in the am for breakfast and pm for card playing, or just plain watching the birds and bees to relax. I love it! Enjoy.update 9/29/2014 I now do not recommend the SQUARE Casita. The Octogan one is what lasted me for years..., this square one blew over twice in two different storms in July, and I had it re-enforced with aluminum brackets,so I have ordered a steel roof and am going to attach the screens permanently in the same shape. From 5 to 3 stars.
