This nightgown works well for dress up and hold up well as long as you are careful to wash it in delicate setting: no zippers and Velcro items in the machine with it. Or hand wash. All versions of this have this polyester material on the bodice that is prone to pulls. That being said, my daughter doesn't care and we purchased two more after purchasing the first one after discovering this.

Super soft and feels great on her skin! She loves it!
