Available in bold and vibrant, soft and soothing, or earthy and dark solid colors. These blankets are offered in solid colors, without stripes or patterns as commonly found in Mexican Blankets. Our Mexican blankets are hand woven and made of a soft blend of acrylic, polyester and cotton. Since these blankets are handmade in villages throughout Mexico, there may be some slight variations in the color from the picture shown.  Shades of the color could vary, or the color of the tassels can vary. Mexican blankets are used frequently in Iyengar and restorative yoga practices. They can be used folded under kneeling or sitting poses to cushion bones and joints, underneath you in repose positions to insulate from cold flooring, rolled or folded to provide support or extra stretch in poses, or just as a cover to warm you in Savasana. Our Solid Color Yoga Blankets are made with a tight weave, so these blankets are thicker and warmer than our Classic. In addition to their larger size, they will offer more cushioning and insulation.  Great to use as a yoga prop, or for any purpose.  These blankets also make great picnic blankets, throw blankets for home décor and beach blankets.

Good but inconsistent
I purchased three of these (in different colors), and the characteristics are different in each color, for some reason. When new, the fabric feels the same and the weave looks the same, but they do have differences.Brown: My favorite one. Color true to pic. Has a clean, fresh smell right out of the bag. Washes well, retains texture and pills very little.Golden brown: (It seems this color is suddenly no longer available). Color NOT true to picture. This blanket is downright yellow. I tried to dye it darker but it turned out a disaster.Charcoal: The one I received has charcoal color fringe. Blanket had very strong odor...smelled EXACTLY like a horse stall (yes, a very specific smell). Took three washes to remove smell. Left several handfuls of fuzz (not exaggerating) in washer, and several more in lint trap of dryer. After drying, color was noticeably lighter, texture now has a very high nap and is very "fluffy". Does not resemble its pre-washed self at all.If I had known how these were going to turn out, I would just have bought a couple of brown ones and skipped on the other colors, due to the problems stated above. The overall 4 stars I posted are basically an average. Individually, I'd give 5 for the brown and 3 each for the other colors.

Great Blanket for yoga
Buying a blanket online is hard without touching it. I did plenty of searching, reading reviews and decided on this one. It was the right choice for me. I take yoga through Community Ed, where you have to have your own props and I also go to a yoga studio. The blanket is the same weight as the one in my yoga studio but it's bigger; which isn't a bad thing. The color is as described and it isn't scratchy. It washed it and shed what you expect from a new blanket but I didn't dry it. Another student in my class had bought a blanket for a few dollars cheaper and it felt cheap and it was stiff, so I'm glad I spent the extra money for this one. It's perfect for the various poses that you need it for and is adequate for warmth to cover up with.Updated:Liked this yoga blanket so much, I came back for a second one, in pink. It's just like the picture. The fringes on this one were a little fuller but since I use it for yoga, it's really not a big factor for me. I got this for my third blanket for shoulder stands. I've used other blankets but they don't have the loft that I was looking for and often ended using 4 blankets for shoulder stand. I still am taking it through Community Ed so I have to have my own props and I walk to class so bringing one more thing can be a burden at times. I got lots of compliments on the navy one and really like the solid color ones. I've pointed more than one person to this blanket if there looking for one. I still use my navy one regularly and haven't had any issues with it. I wash it 3-4 a year and it shrank a bit but no issues with unraveling or getting thin. I take 2 class a week and use them in my at home practice.

Recommend! Beautiful color.
I love the color of my new Yoga blanket :-) it is very comfy as well and practical for making rolls or support some Yoga poses. One thing I didn't like so much, was the light chemical smell when it arrived. But I washed it with Meyer's laundry and everything was fine. Unfortunately I dried it in the dryer and now it is very fuzzy...but getting better. I think you have to let it air dry.

Okay, not great
Believe the color description on these, not the photo. I ordered the forest green and it is definitely your basic forest green, not the beautiful color shown in the picture. I chose this blanket because of the positive reviews noting its weight. It is however, not as heavy as the yoga blankets I'm used to at my gym. It's fine, but not great. I won't bother sending it back, but if I wouldn't necessarily recommend it, either.

Mid-Quality Blanket
A yoga blanket had been the missing piece in my yoga prop collection prior to purchasing this solid blanket. While I am pleased with the rich charcoal grey color and complimentary black fringe, I am disappointed in the overall quality of the blanket. The threads in this blanket are rather loose, this increases the likelihood of pulling and snagging of the blanket. Additionally, the blanket has a faint chemical smell that may be off putting to those with odor sensitivities. However, I do expect the smell to dissipate with time.

A bit pricey but nice
The tassels are charcoal but it looks more sophisticated so I like it better than the white. I use this to cover my couch for cat and dog hair. I have 3 now and they wash well and look good. They aren't soft enough to be a throw blanket but as a cover, for yoga or something to sit on they work great. They have a natural rustic look which I like. I'm sure you can get these in Mexico for $5 so they are a little pricey but unless your going to Mexico anytime soon...

Soft blanket , pretty color
It's nice & soft - not scratchy & stiff as some other yoga blankets I've bought. Color is nice. Happy with my purchase, would buy this again.

I bought this in the Khaki color, which doesn't ...
I bought this in the Khaki color, which doesn't seem to be available any more, but I will say that it came exactly as described- khaki with white tassles- and I've gotten a ton of use out of the blanket on beach trips, camping trips, etc. etc. since purchasing it. In my last apartment, I had it beside my bed. So! If you're looking around for a trustworthy woven blanket seller, this is the one for you.
