Pretty easy to install and fixed ice issue quickly

My refrigerator has had water/ice under the crisper pans. Traced the problem back to the defrost cycle and the defrost drain tube being clogged with ice. The factory installed drain clip evaporator tab was too short and was installed to far from the drain tube. This replacement drain clip actually fits into the drain tube so that ice can't build up and cause defrosted water to build up and overflow into the refrigerator interior. Great idea, great product. Easy to install with Phillips screwdriver and a pair of pliers to bend the tabs around the defrost line.

Worked perfectly. Solved the icing issue and water leak into the Fridge drawer.

This is the Improved Design larger surface area aluminium clip to keep P.O.S. Samsung Refrigerators from freezing up. It's working, so far. Relatively easy to install following YouTube How-To's...some P.O.S. Samsungs have an immediate 90 degree turn in the drain, you'll have to trim up a half-inch off the bottom of this heat element clip. And never buy a Samsung fridge,,,,

It does seem to have fixed the freezing problem. No more drip in and below the bottom tray of the refrigerator. When we opened up the defroster cover we did see a large amount of frozen coils, etc. There are lots of Youtube videos to show how to replace this part, it was not too hard to do. The price is much cheaper than having a technician install it. No more fan noise. Very happy to have this job done.

Researching a water problem in my Samsung French Door Refrigerator led me to this little gem for the iced-up defroster drain line. The part description did NOT include my model (RF20HFENBSR) and an answer in the Questions & Answers stated this part would NOT fit. However, another user stated it DID fit the same model so I gave it a try. I was very pleased that the installation went without a hitch and fit just fine. Oh yeah - and so far, no more drainage issues!

I can't say this is the fix, because I still have issues with my Samsung icing up. I think it helps taking the fridge longer to completely freeze up, but in my case it did not fix Samsungs poor design. Installation of the item was a snap, however. getting to the old part to swap it out is not a quick fix nor is it the easiest to access. Prepare to store your food in coolers or another fridge for at least a day while the fridge thaws, if not you might destroy the insulation, back panel, or other item frozen behind the panel. I took mine apart, allowed it to thaw overnight and the panel was still stuck to the ice the next day. It took some careful heat persuasion to finally get the panel thawed and separated, then a lot of hot water and turkey baster action to thaw the drain tube. Removal of the existing flimsy clip was minimal, remove the rivet and its off. The replacement wraps around the thawing element and then melt the remaining ice, sop up the water and replace everything.

It fixed the problem with the drain tube freezing and causing water to overflow into the fridge compartment.

Was unsure about this item following some dodgy reviews. Our freezer had water pooling at the bottom and this was becoming a big issue. Hubs took everything apart, cleaned it all out yet still the problem persisted. Last resort before getting a professional in we thought we'd give this ago. It's been nearly 6 months now and we've had no issues with water pooling. Really pleased. Hubs found it a little tricky to fit, but didn't take long at all.

Fridge works well after install. This piece is much longer than the original but does that job.
