Good for allergies
Have a dog with constant itching from allergies. This food seems to help to reduce his scratching. He seems to like the taste and the ingredients are very prominent and look to be high quality.

Love this dog food...
I've been buying this brand for a few years even though it is a bit pricey. To me, a few extra bucks for unusual ingredients like duck and sweet potato are worth it. I found out years ago that buying low q generic type dog food is really bad for dogs. You just wind up spending more because the dogs are trying to live on the equivalent of a human trying to live on salads. What I do is get one average priced brand, usually for puppies because it's more nutrient dense than adult, and buy one or two pricey brands and mix the three together for a custom blend. They are getting duck, sweet potato, banana chips, carrots and some other goodness from this dog food. It's cute that they don't like the banana chips and some little orange things in there and they meticulously pick those out. Otherwise, they love this food and I like it for them. They quit carrying it at my local grocery store so I'll start ordering it here now. I'm loyal to this brand. My dogs deserve some duck and sweet potatoes.

I love this. My dogs love this. And it's the best value compared to any local pet shop.
My dogs have been on castor and pollux for five years now and I can't speak highly enough about the company or product. Quality usda organic meat, not byproduct, and this version is grain free. My dogs started on the nine grain free version of ultramix, and after switching to this, the energy was better, their teeth seem healthier, and they enjoying eating this day in and day out. It's a US company too so I never worry about some corporate jerk deciding to save a buck and outsource this dog food production to China killing my dog with tainted meat. I'm compare my dogs to those that eat some other store bought dog food and it's clearly evident this food it's hands down better. Their coats are shinier and their breath doesn't smell like they ate their own poop. For the value, this stuff is exceptional. I've done a lot of researcher on dog food advisors website and you should go check for yourself to see the ratings and breakdown of ingredients.I also like that ultramix has different protein sources (duck, beef, turkey or chicken) so you can pick one that is less allergy prone to dogs. I always avoid chicken if possible. Also go to petsmart and this will cost you 21 bucks, so this is an incredible savings. A no brainier really.

Actual product contains chicken!
contains CHICKEN - be careful if your pup is allergic to chicken. The picture of the ingredients shows a product with no chicken; however the actual product bag has a different ingredient list, which does contain chicken.

... 9 year old beagle mix loves this and we love that we found it
Our 9 year old beagle mix loves this and we love that we found it. Here's why. Piper has suffered with itching feet which we have been told is due to protein allergies. We tried her on the expensive HA food the vet sells, but hated the texture of that stuff. We did a little more research about single protein sources and decided to try the duck, since that is a protein she has never tried. It's also about half the price of the Vet recommended HA food. She loves this stuff. I love that we can have it delivered because big bags of dog food are heavy. I would recommend you try this one if your pup has a similar issue with itching due to protein allergy. And good luck!

Hey, remember all of those scares about pet food contamination? Castor and Pollux has their own plant, no cross contamination from any other brands. Love it. Love it even more since my mut dog is up in years. He loves every type of Castor and Pollux we have tried. The vet and their assistants cannot believe this is a 15 (human year) dog when we go to the vet. This is a stray from the streets of Canton, OH. We lucked into each other, and Organix. Now that he is older, I want to give him less carbs. He is loving this food!I hope it will keep his weight well, too. Love all of the Castor and Pollux food. Really want Amazon to encourage and sell more grain free and freeze-dried raw foods. Auto delivery is the best!!!

Pitbull loves this food
I buy this food for my niece’s pitbull and he loves it. I have tried different brands with duck, but he refuses to eat them. So I come back to this (Natural Ultramix Grain-Free Duck). My only issue is that it doesn’t come in a larger bag.
