Wish I can give it 10 stars. My hair is thick, north african, curly hair. I can’t believe I can straighten it quickly with 1-2 passes! I pair it with l’oreal heat protector and finish it with hair serum for the flyaways, but it stays soft and healthy looking for days!! It’s also so easy to curl your hair with one twist. Very versatile, smooth, and leaves the hair shiny unlike other big brands. Perfect temperature and I don’t have to worry about figuring out which temp to set it toI’ve been using it for months now and still excited! I finish my hair perfectly in 20 mins! I don’t dread it anymore. The picture is showing my natural hair and my straightened hair that took me ~10 min.It functions really well. Takes less than a minute to heat up. You can just place it on any surface as it’s designed in a way to not leave burns. HIGHLY recommended and saves you the salon money over time!

Wow! This iron gives better results and leaves my hair silker and straighter with less passes than my older GHD Mk IV Dark styler. If it wasn't for my older styler starting to have intermittent issues after 10+ years of use, I wouldn't have ever considered making the plunge and convince myself on spending the money on GHD's latest styler.All I can say is it was money well spent. I just hope this model lasts 10+ years as well..-Update-After a week of using this styler on a daily basis, I experienced issues with it, the light would flash red and beep at me and not get hot anymore.. Looking on google, apparently these stylers can have issues where any one of the six fuses would fail and caused this issue, so unfortunately had to return the one I got from Amazon.. However further reading, it seems a lot of the issues may come from those who made their purchases through Amazon and other 3rd party retailers... so against my better judgement because the product worked so well over the older Mark IV model I had, I decided to order another one but this time directly from the GHD website, not sure why I didn't consider or bother to look there in the first place, because I am glad that I did, not only was I able to get the white styler for the same price, but also, the heat spray was free (gotta pay extra for the bundle here on Amazon), but in addition, they had a sale promotion going on so I ended up getting the styler for ~$60 less than the price here on Amazon!Also not sure if it's true or not, but seen some reviews of individuals who did have issues with their styler and ghd not honoring warranty for purchases made off Amazon, however this could be due to individuals buying from the sketchy non-amazon sellers/listings here, but not sure, but whatever the case, at least i'll know buying direct from ghd, the styler will be fully covered if I do have the same issue I had with this one from Amazon beyond the 30 day return window.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I bought this iron to replace my Elchim flat iron. I like the idea that it only goes to 350 degrees to protect hair, however I was concerned it wouldn’t be hot enough for my course hair. I didn’t need to worry. It does an excellent job straightening. I love that I turn it on and don’t have to think about a heat setting. It’s permanently set at the sweet spot. I counted 7 seconds to heat up and you get a clear beep when it’s ready. The price was a lot less than I paid for my last iron. It is comfortable, lightweight and slides through hair easily. I
