Used this to convert a Pentair Sunlite
I have a smaller Sunlite pool light that kept failing (it's about 3.5" in diameter and takes a small two-prong bulb). Upon opening it up, I discovered the water had completely corroded the bulb socket. Since this LED light is waterproof, I decided to convert my light over - I removed the four prongs inside the housing and the two on this light (to make room for this light), used waterproof connectors to connect the low voltage leads, filled the wired area at the base of the housing with silicone, inserted this light, added more silicone around it and foam to keep it centered, and reassembled the unit. With these adjustments, this light fits perfectly. The brightness is more than adequate and it works great. If it works months and years from now, then it's a home run ... but for now, so far so good.

Stock tank pool light.
Last year we joined the stock tank pool craze and haven’t looked back. I’ve been improving it steadily, we added a filter system and chlorinated the pool, I added a rubber spray in coating when the tank started to rust and now I’m adding a light. This light seemed a bit pricey but I’m happy with it, it’s built really well. I order a Hero-LED power supply to power this led. Everything went together well with the help of some shrink tubing, soldering iron, some rubber o rings, silicon sealant and a pipe clamp. its southern engineering at it finest, but it works and doesn't leak around the light. The pictures bellow are my new plastic stock tank pool. If making a stock tank pool, go with plastic. Pool chemicals cause the metal tanks to rust and using a spray in coating won’t stop the rust... trust me I tried. This light makes the plastic tanks glow at nigh which is cool.

These lights saved me over one thousand dollars… but lasted less than 1 year
The lights fit in the Globerite receptacle, pentair wanted $500 a light to replace, I reused the wires from the existing ones. spliced them with waterproof splices and covered with flexseal tape. I replaced the pentair color switcher with wifi smart switch and I can now turn my pool lights on from my phone, or on a nightly schedule. If your tired of shelling out thousands on pentair lights that only last a year, replace with these!Update: unfortunately these lights only lasted about 10 months and all three stopped working. It looks like they can't handle salt water very well as there was a lot of electrolysis build up on the housing and water inside the LED fixture. I'll probably just swap them out with another set given the low cost, but it's a bummer that they didn't last.

Replaced Pentair Globrite
So my $400 Globrite lasted less than three years. I put this $40 light in today. Spliced the old Globrite into this and sealed with plumbers putty. As of day one - this is awesome. It actually is brighter than the Globrite. For the money you can’t go wrong.

Doesn't last, no warranty
Not worth $40. Have purchased two, used in pool. First one lasted about 10 months, so for $40 was worth another shot. Second didn't last 2 months. Contacted seller through Amazon, no response. If seller contacts me with offer to replace, may consider update to comment and rating.

So far so good
This replaced a Pentair LED pool light that cost near $500 (and I find out from researching routinely fails after a year). This one is not quite as bright and only one color (blue) but I’d take it over the expensive Pentair any day (if it proves to be reliable). It does have a bit of a short cable and the plug is unlikely to be compatible with most existing lights but remember, you’re working with low voltage cable/transformer so it’s as easy as cutting off the existing light and tying this in regardless of polarity.
