ASICS Men's Gel-Nimbus 23 Running Shoes

I love my asics! I have high arches and these give enough arch support for me. During the first week or so of wearing them, I had pretty bad blisters on the back of my ankles due to the rubbing of the shoe, however, my feet are now used to them and they are perfect. I like that they are slip on, as I usually just slip on my tennis shoes anyways. I also love the color:)

I have used ASICS for running for years but the recent versions are the most comfortable shoes for urban walking that I have ever had. We travel a lot and do a great deal of site seeing with the usual result of tired achy feet. My past three trips involved five miles a day of city walking on hard concrete with almost no discomfort to my feet.

Putting on the shoe was love at first sight. Some of the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever worn.I bought them in January of this year and it’s now December. I do walk a lot in these (not running), but I expected them to last longer. There’s a hole on the right shoe already and I’ll have to look for another pair of shoes.Probably wouldn’t buy this one again, even though it’s super comfy. I’ve never had a shoe last less than a year.I left a generous four stars and not three because maybe you’re not supposed to walk so much in these, only take them out for runs.

This pair of shoes is a fantastic find—exceptionally comfortable, high-quality, and reasonably priced. They provide excellent support and cushioning for long walks or runs, making them a great choice for anyone seeking quality without overspending. It is not easy for me to find this size.

If you don’t mind the price, ASICS in general are all great running shoes in my opinion. If your looking for running shoes, do yourself a favor and get one of the best in the business, I’d put them right up there with Brooks for running shoes. ASICS run about a half size smaller then my normal workout shoes, I find this is standard on all ASICS so I recommend at least a half size up (also with running shoes you want them to be bigger then snug on your feet to allow for flexibility and swelling). The colors really POP on this product, the red is a brighter blood red and the photos I provided show a better picture of the color then the product photo I feel. The gel on the side is almost too comfy on the inside but you can still feel the general flexible support from the base, it’s probably the softest feels out of any running shoes I’ve put on. My physical build is a stocky 5’6” male around 250lbs, I power lift and hate cardio so I need a quality shoe in order to do jog/run for a long time without causing me extra discomfort due to a heel, a knee, and back injuries...these shoes deliver, buy with confidence if you are looking for excellent quality running shoes.

About 8 years ago ASICS changed the design a bit, causing me and many others to scream bloody murder. However, since then, this shoe has been the model of consistency. I'm hard on shoes. I'm 190 pounds. Most of my training is on hills (3-4 miles 4X/week) plus sprints on the track. Making things tougher on the shoe, I wear a custom orthotic that corrects for significant supination. Despite all this, my last pair lasted 11 months. And this pair, that I first used today, fits perfectly, requiring no break-in. I tend toward a toe-strike, and have tried shoes with that as the design point--they didn't compare at all. For years I burned through trainers. No more. For the last decade, these have been the most consistent and durable trainers I've ever used.

My situation: I’ll start by saying I am 39 and I have a foot injury and running shoes are my go to for every day walking. ASICS are my go to brand as all others do not for my foot type well. I have bought a pair every year as I stand at a desk for work and pace often.The shoe: The design is great and the feel is amazing. The best part is the stretchy mid upper or tongue portion of the shoe. It’s elastic and sock-like. It hugs the foot perfectly. Not too tight but tight enough that I’m not worried about the shoe popping off. I even loosened the laces and use that upper to hold them on my foot. The sole is soft and cushions the foot with a great deal of comfort. I would recommend these shoes to anyone looking to wear on a day-to-day basis. Without being a runner, I can’t say. Only that these have been my favorite ASICS that I’ve ever owned.
