I have quite thick hair and it gets quite frizzy and tingly and I have always had it quite long but it's been a headache to brush it. With this brush it's like a miracle! I just brush through it and the tangles are gone! Brilliant! Defo recommend it.

Got this to replace one my daughter had. This has more of a plastic feel to it but it does the same job on her thick curls.

The brush is good, but the handle is too thick to hold with stability. I just broke it open and took the brush part out of the handle, and now happy with it.

This isn't really for my type of hair.. my hair is thick mixed tight curly, doesnt do do nothing but slip out my hands while trying to brush. Might work on like thick texted hair

I am recommending this Michel Mercier Detangling Brush to everyone. I use the brush to detangle my hair after washing and conditioning. I start on the ends of my hair when detangling, not at the root near my scalp. The bristles in this brush are very short and the brush head is wide and round. I consider this brush design to be great because it helps to avoid as much breakage as possible. I always leave lots of conditioner on my wet hair when brushing to detangle. Because I am right handed, I lay the ends of my wet hair against the palm of my left hand and hold the detangling brush in my right hand. Brushing against my left palm to detangle the ends first is imperative. No matter what section of my hair shaft I am detangling, I always brush my hair while it lays against the palm of my hand. Of course I experience shedding of my hair but less than any other style of brush. The Michel Mercier Detangling Brush is the best ever. I use the brush recommended for thick hair because I have 4C kinky hair that happens to be ten inches long in the crown of my head.

I was skeptical about this. I saw some videos on you tube that said it was ok. I ordered it anyway. I am glad I did. It worked great on me and my daughter we are caucasian. My hair is thick, curly & wavy (Just frizzy most of the time unless I flat iron it a lot.) My hair was dry, with hair spray (not that super strong stuff thats like glue but suave in the pump bottle) still in it from night before and I brushed through it without all the pulling my normal brush does. And a lot less hair left in the brush than my old brush. I was shocked how well it worked. In one of the you tube reviews that showed a girl saying the blue one for thick hair was to stiff. The normal one green is less stiff than the thick & the fine one pink is less stiff than the normal. I don' t agree with her thinking that the blue is to stiff, with my type of hair any less stiff and it would just give to much. I don't think it would be effective in getting out my knots. They are not even stiff, they are very flexible. My daughter has thick hair but less wavy and frizzy than mine. Brushing her hair is ten minutes of her crying and trying to run from me. I told her I got a new brush that is not supposed to hurt so much. I was shocked again at how great it worked. I only got two oww moms from her. It's her new favorite brush.We have not tried it wet yet. I'll try to update it after I do. The handle is just plastic no grip on it, also it is hollow inside. Both of which might be a problem for wet use.But I really like it and think it is well worth the price. My daughter is really benefiting from it and grateful.
