I see it's a product of China. Is it tested for melamine and heavy metals and the other usual contaminants found in Chinese products?

Now Foods does not import this product's ingredients from China. They come from from Austria. Melamine is tested only in proteins and not in starches. Now Foods checks for all the contaminants regardless of where they come from.

Label says product is tested and packaged in Illionis. Where are the beets grown?

Is this a resistant starch rs like hi-maize corn flour?

Folks, all starches are carbohydrates (sugar-type chemicals) basically made out of *many* simple sugar molecules in chains. Though they aren’t sweet flavored, most starches quickly break into sugars in our systems and so have a “high glycemic index” (read: big blood sugar spike). Starches combine amylose (typically 20-30%; fast breakdown) and amylopectin (typically 70-80%, medium-speed breakdown). But waxy maize is 90% amylopectin, slowing and spreading out that blood sugar peak. Similar idea to adding fiber or protein to a sugar snack except here, you still have the option to add those and slow it down yet more. The seller is correct, melamine is fake (toxic) for protein and makes no sense to add here. The other answerer is also right; if it came thru Austria it’s probably from China on that basis alone. But wherever it’s from, >99% of the world’s corn (maize) is now GMO. Place your bets, but we’re all shopping from the same store now. Have a good run.

How many pills or mg equal to a 5 pound watermelon ?

When I researched citrulline, I read that 1 cup of watermelon = 290mg of citrulline. The exact amount varies since watermelons are subject to environmental factors. Studies of citrulline seem to utilize a maximum dosage of 3 grams per day. Recommended daily dosages range in the 1-2 gram range. This specific bottle recommends 1 tablet, 1 or 2 times daily.
