Perfect tablet for someone starting out in digital art
This drawing tablet is amazingly good value for money. It comes with the tablet and pen, the cable, a drawing glove, a pen stand with eight spare nibs, and an extra gift of 10 pen nibs. The driver software is pretty easy to install and use. I’m left-handed, and I managed to switch the tablet round so that the keys are on the right hand side and not in my way as a I draw. I’ve set up some of the press keys and they’re very useful. I thought they weren’t working for a while at first, but it turned out I’d turned on the lock switch at the side of the tablet and that was the reason. So, if you buy one and find the press keys aren’t working, check the lock switch! The tablet itself is lightweight and looks pretty sleek. It has rubber feet at the bottom, so it doesn’t move around as you use it. I haven’t travelled with it yet, but I’d imagine it would be easy to slip into a bag, as it’s pretty thin. The pen is okay; it’s a nice shape but pretty light. Overall, I’d really recommend this tablet to someone starting out in digital art. This is my first tablet, and I’ve found it a pleasure to use and learn with.

More affordable alternative to a Wacom, quality seems good
As a beginner with no real clue as to what I'm doing this has been a great, relatively affordable, introduction to digital sketching. I've tried it using both the free drawing software Krita and a subscription version of Photoshop CC. It took a long time to try and get a brush setting in Photoshop that looked the way I wanted it to, and I actually ended up buying a commercial set of brushes from a youtube artist's website that were very closely to the look I wanted. In Krita, the default brush was almost perfect for me. The pen doesn't have a battery so it is lighter than I expected, about the weight of a decent pencil anyway which is pretty good. I haven't yet made much use of the tilt function as I'm still getting to grips with it. One thing to note is that the default mapping of the 'undo' shortcut button on the side for ctrl + alt + z (which is the step-undo in CC 2018) kept triggering the GeForce overlay for my graphics card for some reason, so I had to remap this in the geforce settings (I changed it to ctrl + alt + G) and there was no conflict then. If you're looking for a more affordable alternative to a Wacom or similar and are not 100% sure how well you'll get on with a graphics tablet I'd highly recommend one of these as a lower-cost investment. My plan is that if I actually develop to a stage where I feel this is not up to the standard I need I'll look again at upgrading, but at present I've not encountered any technical aspects that I'm unhappy with, as I'm still learning. The only thing I'd like as an improvement would be gentle LED backlights to the shortcut buttons, as I've not quite gotten used to the placement yet, and tend to sketch in a darkly lit room with the tablet on my lap, so being able to identify the shortcut with a quicker glance would help stop me losing my mental relationship between the tablet pointer position and the on the screen position as much.

Great as entry level pad
It works fine, but I ended up needing a much finer degree of control

Simple drawing tablet
I absolutely adore this tablet it's very easy simply just plug in and use. I find the tablet easy to draw with and it's lots of fun to use. Struggling to store the tablet atm as it's obviously a bit large and takes space but it will get lots of use and love. If your a newly starting out digital artist id absolutely recommend this.

The pen pressure is a real let-down
I regrettably had to return this. I have a Huion Kamvas 13 that apparently has the same pen pressure sensitivity as this Huion H640P, but the H640P definitely does not feel responsive in the way it should feel. I've been using graphics tablets for the past 20+ years, ever since I was in high school back in the mid 2000s, so I have plenty of experience with them. I've tried messing around in the pressure sensitivity and just can't get it to a comfortable setting, even reinstalled the tablet driver a few times so to make sure it was all set up correctly.. it just requires me to put too much pressure down, which considering I am already heavier-handed when sketching really says something and isn't ideal. The pen also has more of a bouncy feeling on the tip, which while feels fun at first, when the pressure doesn't respond it just makes it more irritating to use than anything, and I found that it offsets the placement of lines so it isn't as accurate as it should be. I also tried it out on my phone first, using Sketchbook and ibis paint, and the problem was just the same as it is on my computer, and like I said, even changing pressure settings didn't get it to a satisfactory point. I'm also surprised to see it works via micro-USB and not USB-C for some reason, even though it does have a USB-A to USB-C adaptor? I dunno, I'm just surprised they went with micro USB for it, not that it really impacts anything since you get the cables with it. It's a real shame, as I really wanted to have a tablet this size again (all of my Wacom tablets since 2005ish were around the same size)so I wouldn't have to have my Huion Kamvas 13 taking up so much space when I'm just sat drawing while in my living room chair and not at a desk. I might have to try an alternative tablet brand of this size and just hope it works feeling more like all the other tablets I've used over the years. That said, it was easy enough to set up, just plug in, download the correct drivers from the Huion website and go. It's a perfect size for beginners, but theres just too much with it causing issues for me personally.

Brilliant tablet
Amazing tablet. Bought this as a more travel friendly tablet alongside my big old huion kamvas tablet, but honestly this thing is better than the kamvas one. Great sensitivity, precision, perfect size honestly, and suitable for amateur to professional work. Also love how this and my other huion tablet use the same drivers.

Great tablet for the price but not fully compatible with chromebook
Purchased this for my daughter's birthday present after a lot of reading up about tablets that are compatible with Chromebooks, this one kept coming up (it shows it in the Amazon images and also on the Huion website). It, while it is compatible with Chromebooks in the sense that you connect it via USB and it does work, none of the buttons on the side of the tablet respond or are recognised and there is no way of configuring them as it's just a simple plug & play device (just like a mouse). Contacted Huion via their website to ask for clarification but have never received a reply (it's been over 3 months now). Despite the disappointing customer service and misleading information, I have to say my daughter loves the tablet and has managed to find a workaround for the buttons not working in the apps she uses it with. Seems a good tablet for a beginner (maybe even great if not being used with a Chromebook), size is good, device is sturdy and pen is hard wearing and accurate, especially for the price. Had it been more expensive it would have been returned and replaced with a Wacom...
