Ayurvedic powders can vary widely. This herb tastes wood-like and mildly bitter.

Q: Seller: Are the stems peeled or ground up raw for Guduchi powder? Variation in color is never that much to turn from dark brown to pale white/yellow.

Each lot of Guduchi is different, just as everything in nature has a tendency to look, feel, smell, and taste different depending on seasonal variations, soil, climate, etc. Sometimes one lot of an herb is much lighter in color than the next. Thank you for your questions! Our Guduchi (Tinospora cordifolia) stem powder is organically grown in India. We do not list the country of origin on our labels because we source the raw herbs from all over the world. Though our herbs are largely from India and from the U.S., they are not limited to these two countries. Global weather conditions affect growing regions from year to year and require adaptation. Banyan’s final products are produced in the United States. You are always welcome to contact us via Amazon’s internal messaging center, with the lot number listed on the product and we can provide you with the manufacture date and country of origin for that specific product lot.
