They're lava lamp bulbs. they work.
These are standard wattage lava lamp bulbs. They get hot, the lava lamp works. Not a lot more to say here. They work fine in the given application.

Check your bulbs!
I suggest making sure your lava or salt lamp uses THESE specifically, because only half of mine actually used this size bulb and I had to buy more of another size, but other than that these are great and have lasted a few months so far with none burning out.

Lava lamp bulbs that work!
What a difference something so simple makes. Great design on these bulbs. They heat up quickly, and spread the heat evenly. As a result, the lava in the lamp heats up so much more quickly. Thre brightness of the lamp is the same, but what a difference in how much quicker the lava starts bubbling up! Just buy this bulb... it's a bulb, it works great, it's priced right... the end

The right bulb for the "standard" Lava Lamp
I'm using these as replacement bulbs in my ~14" lava lamps. They are the correct wattage. They seem a little colder/slower to heat up the wax than the original bulns, but hopefully they will last longer as well. I've been using this set since early December 2023 and will update as the first bulbs burn out.

Yea!! Works with my Home Automation System!!!
Each bulb packed with bubble wrap...all survived, with the Sterl Lighting bulbs, they were simply thorn into a box, and at least one or two did not survive the shipping. Plus, the construction of the bulb is much better than the Sterl Lighting bulbs I've bought before. I have an ongoing need for true Incandescent e17 base bulbs for my 8 fixtures that use this base...my 10 year old (and perfectly operating) home automation system dimming circuit does not work with LED bulbs, and I don't want to change it out and waste hundreds of $$$'s. Thank goodness for Lava Lamps, because they need the heat of an Incandescent bulb; and can not use LED's.
