Proven Winners SUPPRW4007524 Petunia Supertunia Vista Bubblegum, Live Plant, 4-pack 4.25 in. Grande, Pink Flowers

This was my first time ordering from Proven Winners and got 2 of the 4-pack Supertunia Vista Bubblegum and 3-Prince Tut to simulate the gorgeous combo I saw on Garden Answers that Laura planted. I just found Laura & Aaron's Garden Answers channel about a month ago and their property is so beautiful and they use Proven Winners a lot that I decided to try Proven Winners. Boy am I SO glad that I did!! I tried to ordered at Home Depot but it seems they do not delivery to Hawai'i, happy that Amazon had them available. I placed order on Mon. July 27, paid $33+ for shipping, was shipped on Wed. the 29th from Michigan, expected to arrive on Mon. Aug. 1 but arrived yesterday Fri. July 31. That was pretty fast considering shipping from Michigan to Hawai'i. I wondered what the stated of the plants would be like because of their long travel. They arrived very well packed in boxes and most importantly they were all alive, soil was a little dry, but planted them right away. I also ordered 3-Proven Winners Premium All Purpose Potting Soil, PW Premium Water Soluble Fertilizer, and PW Continuous Release Plant Food. Planted them in a wooden box planter using the soil, plant food, and gave them a good water using the fertilizer. In just 24 hours (as shown in 2nd pic) my supertunia's and graceful grasses look so happy which makes me happy!! :0) Laura said that the Supertunia Vista Bubblegum does well no matter where she plants them; in the landscape or in containers. Garden Answers and Proven Winners are trusting resources! I highly recommend both Garden Answers YouTube channel and Proven Winners for your gardening needs, as I will use nothing else. My husband isn't a gardener but I asked for his help to plant them in right away and he also said that the soil looks really good. I used a lot of different soil brands and each had its negatives, mostly bug eggs in the soil. PW soil seems to be very clean and feels good on the hands, I could easily feel the difference. Proven Winners is my favorite brand. I know the plants will always preform well, it's a matter of me and my care. I usually go to the local nursery but they haven't had the Vista petunias in years. They are kind of plain, medium sized flowers. Vista Fuchsia is improved over the old. It was the less vigorous of the three. I hope it is improved. I wanted the Vista petunias because of their trailing vigorous growth. I can afford to pay extra because in zone 9, I can carry them through winter. Silverberry is great in a hanging basket because it will tolerate some drying out. Two plants in a 21" pot and you have a big show. When it gets too hot for them I cut them back a bit, fertilize and drag them to a half sun location. I do have to spray with BT to get the caterpillars. The plants were small but well rooted. Packing was amazing. Delivery sucks! They delivered them somewhere else and they opened the box and mixed the petunias, lol. It's cool weather so not a problem. If they had killed them Amazon would make good. These plants make a big mound of blooms and are amazing.

Supertunia 'Bubblegum' are or can be great annual flowers. I have used them with great success in big pots cascading off of outdoor fireplaces and in pot clusters along walls with the flowers flowing onto a brick patio. And they are tough... Now, don't be too swayed by all of flowering remarks and 5 star ratings. These 4-packs are still 'mail order' plants and things can go wrong. That's what happened to my order-something went wrong. I ordered a whole bunch of these 4-packs thinking it would save me alot of time because I wouldn't have to run around trying to find these exact plants locally and that perfect plants would be delivered to my door. Sounds great, huh? Well it didn't go so good for me. When the boxes arrived(really great packaging) I was excited so I opened the first box and pulled out a nice looking petunia. And the next 2 were pretty good. But the rest were junk. Just trash. Plants were smashed and there was not enough root structure to hold the potting soil together. Very disappointed. These plants are not returnable, but AMAZON did refund my money. AMAZON is a class act.

I was terrified because from the date of my order and when it was shipped was a week away. I was sure that it would arrive dry and dead. I was surprised to find that they looked good and were still moist. Some of the blooms were dead, but I am thrilled With what I got.

All plants arrived in good shape, transplanted well and doing great! Using 2 per pot . .*Update* Although they arrived in good condition, they did not do well like the last two years I got these (first from a store, then through Amazon) and so I ordered the Proven Winners fertilizer to see if that would help (vs Miracle Grow), but it didn't .. (initially). They're still alive, but there's a lot of *light-tan* dead leaves (not normal color) and only a few pink blooms that are kind of washed-out with lots of almost-blooms kind of dried-up. I finally found the customer service number for Proven Winners under the Q&A section, contacted them, and they have been very helpful in determining what was causing the issue and how to resolve it. It was watering / fertilizing / soil drainage related. Plants are starting to recover and hopefully will continue .. and next round of plants should be awesome. Very pleased with PW's customer service. And *all* my plants now seem to be doing better on the PW fertilizers than the Miracle Gro I'd been using.
