Seriously, if you're a large and want your shirt to fit (not be blousey), then get a medium. I did after reading other reviews and I'm soooo glad I did.Quality of the shirt is great. I bought it thinking it would be something fun to wear on Fridays, but I like wearing it everywhere. It feels like you aren't wearing a shirt, which is awesome. Wooden bamboo buttons are a nice touch and this shirt pops.At first, I though I might have made a mistake buying it. It was very loud and I thought it looked a tad feminine, but after wearing it for 5 minutes, that thought goes completely away. If it's good enough for Magnum PI, then it's good enough for you.

This is a very beautiful shirt. Like the one Tom Selleck wore on Magnun P.I. Follow the instructions for sizing. My original ones I had from 20 years ago were medium. They were a little big but comfy. I ordered as per sizing chart. my Chest size at full expansion only 40 inches. A small is 42 inches. It fits PERFECT. If you want it a little looser go to the next size, but for the right fit, measure your chest and order by what the size listed should be. Very comfortable and I like the color and look. I love this shirt and bought it in a XXL from an online merchant other than Amazon. It turned out to be more ample than I thought, because I am a XXL in every other shirt I own. Since the return/exchange time had lapsed and I loved this shirt so much, I bought this one through Amazon, and it is the same maker as the XXL. Based on my experience, I heartily recommend you order a size smaller than you actually wear, unless you like dresses or taking the dog out with no underwear on.

What a beautifully made shirt! If I could give more stars I would! The shirt runs large but not enough to justify sizing down-it just spells comfort. I was very surprised by the quality and very happy with the condition of the product when it arrived. Shirt was nicely pressed with perfectly done collar and placket. The buttons are wood or bamboo, I'm not sure which but WOW what a nice shirt! The colors are bright-it looked more orange on the net but in person is a beautiful bright red-orange with purple birds. Silky, smooth rayon which looks as if it will wash easily and perhaps need a hit or two from the iron. I am so impressed with the quality of this shirt-I will definite buy more from this manufacturer in Hawaii!!!

I haven't worn the shirt around yet, but the colors are so bright and vivid it's amazing. The material also seems to be of good quality. I would suggest sizing down unless you want a dress. I'm about 6'1'' 205 pounds with broad shoulders, and the medium is loose and comfortable. The one's worn on the show were probably tailored.

I ordered the XL and I swam in it. My usually size is XL. So I returned it and ordered a size L. It should arrive tomorrow. I have the identical shirt that I purchased in Hawaii and it is made of cotton and I do not iron too well so it remains wrinkled. The shirt that is arriving soon I believe is made of rayon which is warmer than cotton but wrinkle resistance. So I will see how it works out. I gave this 3 stars only because it was way too large. Otherwise it would have been a five star rating. Mahalo.

Great quality, love the craftsmanship and vibrant colors! Fits my shoulders perfectly, but it’s a king size cut! Very much on the generous size! Order one size smaller than normal unless you like a roomy shirt! That said it is rayon and will shrink a bit in the wash. I’m experimenting with hot or cold wash and dryer settings. Highly recommended!

I original got this shirt a long long time ago when it was the original Cotton version (still have that shirt, worn to death). Now it's rayon/polyester but still fits. This and the other red (parrot) earlier version are required for us tropical types, and is noticed. Always packed when I cruise or go to the Keys.

The shirt is absolutely amazing! A word on the sizing - this shirt fits loose. I tend to be a L or XL (wear a size 44 suit jacket), but the Medium is a perfect fit for me.

I have the black and purple shirt as well. Both get attention when I wear them. And usually I get a comment. I gladly share that they are "Magnum PI originals".

This shirt is everything! Very well-made. It does run large, so the medium fit perfectly; I usually would order a large. The tag does say to hand wash and line dry. Easy to iron.

Bought a 2x when in Hawaii - got heavy - just bought a 4x - lost weight - Now I have 1 for each stage of weight - Still love the shirts
