I bought this book for an essay I was writing in my Italian Politics and Society class. The book arrived a lot faster than expected - I got it in about a week, and Amazon had estimated 2-3 weeks. The book is well-written and easy to follow. Got an A on the essay!

Great historical investigation, not many people look at fashion in a serious way. perfect book for an academic who likes fashion!

I am very fortunate to have Professor Paulicelli as an instructure and have expanded my horizons of italian culture, due to her excellent teaching skills, this book is a must read.. if you enjoy italian culture and fashion.

Excellent work. Interesting to read, well documented. A fascinating insight on the role of fashion in the political context of an authoritarian regime, as was Mussolini's fascist Italy.
