Knobby - When you are on a call and speaking to the caller, and you do not want to continue the call, you can press the CALL BLOCK button on the handset to end the call. The caller’s number will be added to your block list. Thank you!

Q: Does the smart call blocker work if you have phone service provided by a provider other than at&t (but do have caller id)?

I had RCN and now have Spectrum and it works great with both services. Love how quiet our home has become since getting this phone set.

Karen - The AT&T CL82407 will work on the same telephone line as a fax machine. However, the Smart Call Blocker feature may interfere with the transmission of faxes, as the Smart Call Blocker will likely interrupt the line when a fax is received. Q: I want to use this at my business so I can't program in numbers to allow. Is there an option to let all calls thru unless I have blocked them?

@Manufacturer: RE: Response "Bob - the Smart Call Blocker on AT&T CL82407 is default to answer all calls unless you program the numbers on the block list." AT&T uses Smart Call Blocker on the other models that truly are "smart" and can automatically block numbers that ring without Caller ID...what's up with the use of this term on a "not-so-smart" phone that requires you to manually tell it to block each individual call. I'm very disappointed that AT&T Marketing would allow confusion/misrepresentation.
