Academy German King Tiger Last Production Military Land Vehicle Model Building Kit

Do note that I am not an experienced modeler, this is my second model I have made.Overall I found that the model was not too hard as long as you follow instructions and your hands are not too shaky. For me the hardest part for making the model would be the tracks. I haven't tried to apply any decals yet, but may try to add it later. While I think that the camo pattern is accurate I am not sure it was used on the King Tiger (paint is Vallejo German Colors 1940-1945).This was my second kit from Academy (first being a Jagdpanzer 38(t) Hetzer) and both have been great, and I recommend their Brand so far as I have yet to have any problem with them. Either way I enjoyed making this model tank, Panzer Vor!

This was an excellent model to build. Very many pieces to assemble, some very tedious, for example there are twenty or so parts that are attached to the barrel that you probably will never see again unless you take it completely apart. However negative this sounds, it is very rewarding to "know" those parts are there, This was a very fun model to build, Before starting though I would recommend liquid or brush testors glue, and tweezers there are very many small to extremely tiny pieces. Even one drop of glue would bury them.This is not the model for the beginner or those with lack of patience. There is not a lot of painting to do but some of the parts are small and delicate they can break easily even after assembly. The directions are slightly confusing but straightforward, there is a small amount of difficulty with reading and understanding them. There are lots of directions for one page and it can get confusing. What I did was use a small point black marker to mark out the number of the piece I completed. But again very rewarding. I shopped around for a long time before selecting this model kit. If you are looking for the German King Tiger Tank, look no further. This is the one you want. I'm half way through building the "Tiger II" and are enjoying the experience. The casting of the parts is first rate and the makers have included such minute parts as lifting eyes on the turret and hull body. Weld lines are reproduced as well as is much of the manufacturing lines and features. Its unfortunate that much of the internal features will be unseen when the panzer is completed, such as the torsion bar suspension system in the lower hull. The mounting and breech mechanism of the 88mm KwK43 L/71 main weapon is commendable and the co-axial 7.9mm machine gun is mounted to track with its 88mm companion. I pre-painted the panzer with the three color "ambush" camouflage pattern prior to assembly as there were so many small parts, after painting would be difficult. This kit is not for the novice, it is extremely detailed and requires much patience to produce a good result.

Except for the open box I am very happy with item.

This has got to be one of the most in depth model of a tiger II it may no be like a takom but it is definitely top quality

An otherwise excellent model ruined by the fact it came missing the decals. I reached out directly to the seller who never responded. This was my first non-Tamiya model. Very disappointed. I would have given this model 5 stars. If you order from this seller, keep in mind that you are probably on your own if you need support.This rating is in no way a reflection on Amazon, who delivered this quickly and in perfect condition.

期待をして蓋を開けたが、ドラゴンを見慣れた目には少しおもちゃぽい感じがする。ボリューム感はあるが足回りが面倒な感じがした。出来上がってみると悪くはないが、最後期型の最大の特徴である幅の狭いキャタピラを除けばタミヤの方が安価だし作りやすい。エンジンのエッチンググリルにデカールはカルトグラフが付くが説明書がコピー用紙みたいで安っぽい。ちなみにエデュアルドのプロフィイバックはアカデミーからの供給なのでキットは全く同じ物である。違いはエッチングのメーカーとカルトグラフが付かないこと。こちらの説明書は紙質もよくカラーの塗装図も付いている。

My friend loves the game World of Tanks so I brought a King Tiger for him, however I did not notice it is not a completed model but a plastic suit which the player needs to put them together. So now I a bit worry about if my friend can build it up or not, haha...The model itself is extremely good that every details of the king tiger were built in the parts. Maybe I will buy one for my self later.
