I have purchased this well in advance for my new puppy. I looked at different carriers but this by far looked so much better than those found in high street pet supply stores. I like that the door can be opened either side and removed completely without having to collapse any other part of the carrier. It is sturdy lovely cream and grey colour and I love the fact that it can be screwed together rather than just clipped. My puppy is going to be small so maybe this will even do her as a adult but I would say the manufacturer is rather optimistic regarding Pet size so just be aware as otherwise you may well be disappointed.

The fact that this is collapsible is amazing. A key concern was storage so this is fantastic! The shape makes it more difficult to carry than soft cases but it's a balancing act as it is also easier to get your pet into! What would be useful is if the carrier had top access as well although I appreciate that this might be difficult in light of the collapsible design! All in all I am happy with the carrier which was received promptly and is extremely easy to assemble and collapse. It is also not unattractive. Most importantly of all, it is spacious and seemingly comfortable, particularly with a little blanket.

I am surprised at the quality of this box and the ease of storage. I bought the blue large size for my little old (very playful) cat for her long journey to her new home in France in a few months. Not used yet but it is nice and roomy for her journey and will fit well on the back seat of our pickup. I didn't want her squashed in her little small carry (vet) box and wanted her to have room for toys and bedding and food and drink and not too dark so she can see out and see me! I am very happy with purchase and I think she will be too! Once in France it will be very useful for animal rescue which I intend doing.I have only one small gripe which the manufacturers may want to take on board - an opening door on both ends may prove useful in certain situations (at present the opening door is only on one end).

Over the last year we have purchased multiple cat carriers, none of which until now have come close to satisfying our needs. The basic issue is that we have a number of semi-feral outside cats who, from time to time, need to be caught and transported to the vet. Needless to say, feral cats are not the most cooperative animals in this respect. Getting them into the cage is not that difficult. Just grab them by the scruff of the neck and drop them in. The problem is closing the cage before the animal jumps right back out. Originally we used a soft cage with a zipper closure. This was unsuitable as the cat could easily force itself back through the opening before you had a chance to zip it shut so we then tried a number of hard cages with wire doors that can be quickly shut and locked. This worked much better but the problem we have had is that many of these cages, even some of the more expensive ones to purchase, are made flimsily - presumably designed for docile domesticated cats. Several have broken (mainly the ones that are locked using a simple plastic lever) in such a way that an aggressive cat can force its way out. This is dangerous both for the animal and for its caregiver who may end up with an angry feral roaming the interior of a moving car. Fortunately, the Iris Ohyama cage has proved much better. We have now used it half a dozen times and are very pleased. The construction is solid (even though the cage does fold away) and the door and locking mechanism is reliable. We can now transport our uncooperative brood with confidence. Five stars.Edit (Feb 2023) : Six months on and still going strong. Still five stars.

AMAZING! bought this for our cat about 2 years ago when he was a kitten, it was massive for him! but as he's grown he's still got plenty of room, folds away when you don't need it and its Nice and dark for him to hide in!!! we tend to put in something soft to make it nice and cosy but defo worth the Money !
