Great pack for the money.
I was comparing this pack against many other packs - It's hard to make a good judgement when shopping on the internet. Then at lunch I saw one of the thousands of homeless here in Honolulu in front of me in line at a McDonalds - he was using this backpack! I figure if a homeless guy with very limited resources is willing to drop money on this bag then it must be worth something. I asked him his opinion, and he affirmed it's been very durable in all weather conditions for the 6 months. He's owned it.I got mine in the mail yesterday and I'm pretty happy with it. The bag is incredibly light weight. I would say the 5.11 backpack is much heavier. However the 5.11 sells for $80-$120. This bag is around $20 with free shipping. So I can burn through 5 of these before I spend as much as I would for the 5.11.Pack is very roomy and the molly system is pretty cool. I've worn it in the rain and a few other times so far and the pack is a good, lightweight item to carry my stuff in. The inside is lined with a thin vinyl that I'm sure will shred soon, but for $20 I could not be happier with this pack. Plus it looks professional and fits my age (mid 40's).

Smaller than expected
This backpack might be good as a school pack, but is too small for actual backpacking. It's constructed of good quality material and is very nice looking. It has lots of pouches. Cons: there is no waist belt. Only a thin chest strap. This makes the pack uncomfortable and top heavy if you fill it up. It only holds 35 liters, which is conveniently left out of the main description unless you check the small print. Still, if you're not looking for a camping pack this is really nicely made and heavy duty. I wanted something to use outdoors.

AWESOME BAG, just cheap zippers...
Got this bag in the mail today and boy, was I excited, until.... So I took several minutes to inspect the bag, check out of the cool pockets and such. Then I started to load all of my gear. And when I was putting it back into the trunk of my car, I pulled on the exterior, large pocket zipper that is on the top, front face of the pack and the zipper separated from one of the zipper teeth. The zipper head is not broken but and the zipper teeth are all still there. It seems like an easy fix and I will make an attempt to fix it. I love the back pack. But the zippers are a little on the cheap side. I've seen cheaper bags/back packs with high quality zippers. I don't understand, how this really nice bag has cheap zippers. Any who, I don't like complaining. I would have given this bag a five star rating but this little issue made this bag rating lose one star.

Okay quality
The size of the backpack is good. The zippers are stiff and feel like they are low quality and will not last long. I also am not a fan of the extra overhang of material over the zippers. I have to flip that over every time I want to use the zippers. I carry a descent amount of stuff in my back pack including a laptop and for the size of the bag I feel that the shoulder straps should be stronger. They feel like they will tear.

Thumbs up
This was a great buy, quite large enough to pack as much as needed. It seems very durable and will maintain the colour for a while I hope. The external parts are firmly attached and I can remove and add as needed.

my son needs this for school and he hauls around some pretty hefty books
The backpack had a few loose seems in the side of the backpack which was disappointing because, my son needs this for school and he hauls around some pretty hefty books.

If you are a gnome seeking an outdoor minimalist bag, this is it.
Very nice quality backpack, waterproof as advertised. However it seems as though it was made for a gnome. I'm only 6'0" and I am having an incredibly hard time getting my arms through it. Perhaps will function better as something a clip into a bigger pack.
