Columbus Italian Dry Salame 2lb Molded Stick

Ordered on a whim, ships from Taylors in CA and I'm in OR, so I chose the default shipping and it got here very quick. Extremely fresh, a month or more to go on the expiration date. The bloom is pungent, thick, moist and has that unique smell letting you know the salami inside is perfect and crafted with love. Peel off the paper underneath to reveal an incredible 32oz of dry salami perfection, firm, cured to a fault, moist inside and a wonderfully complex but clean taste. Use your knifework and slice it paper thin, I love this served with bourbon-bellavitano cheese, it is pure heaven.Columbus destroys Gallo and Boars Head, they're not even in the same league. If you like them, you have to try Columbus.Kudos to Taylor, they shipped quick and it got here quick, product is perfect. I was hesitant at first but shipping was reasonable and the product is first rate.Placing my 2nd order right now for another fiori along with the sampler from Taylor!!!

This is the real deal, Italian Dry Salami from the San Francisco Bay Area. I have been eating this product over 60 years and it brings back so many positive memories. I can't often get this product in the local markets so I rely on Amazon to fulfill. I am a fan of slicing my own thickness depending on my needs for a given dish, a little thicker to put into salads, very thin for making appetizers or putting on crackers. It is rich, "porky," well seasoned, and wrapped in a paper skin. I haven't needed to refrigerate it, but it does hold up well there, too. So glad I found this source as I like to keep it available at all times.

Nice balanced flavor for an Italian Dry Salumi. Not overly salty, not overly fatty, good bold flavor and decent price point. Enjoying this 2lb chub immensely. I would buy this again.

This is just like the salami I was raised with. So much better flavor nice and moist in side. Thank you for introducing me to Taylor’s Market.

On my new year's Atkins diet, this item is a must. It's actually comparable or better than Boar's head in price (even including the shipping) and the taste is far superior. There is a tiny amount of sugar in it, but very little. I just ordered two more. I'm not sure how this will work in warm weather due to the time for shipping which is a few weeks and the amount of fat which could melt.

First, I want to say that Bob at Taylor's Market was great when I called with a complaint when my salami arrived. It was so old that a half inch to inch into it was hard as a rock. It had to be old and stored in too much heat. He sent me another one, and while it too was a bit old (I know enough about salamis to know that if they're too oily and the paper is difficult to remove, it's old), but it was edible. Overall, the lesson I learned is that buying perishable food online is probably a bad idea. I rather gathered that the sssalamis are drop shipped from another location, but I am not sure. I don't know who inspects the shipments.When I was six months old, my parents moved to within two blocks of Taylor's Market. That was in 1952. They've been arond for a long time. They used to make their own ice cream and I am almost certain that my first ice cream was from Taylor's. Once I saw that this was Taylor's Market I was both excited and sorry. I have no reason at all to be over crtical, but I must tell the truth. For customer service; Tops!

The product was GREAT. What was not great was the advertising. This is not a two pound round as advertised and they continue to advertise it as two pounds even after it has been brought to their attention. That being said, they immediately remedied my concern so no complaints about the customer service. If you are comparison shopping by the pound, this, as I recall, is 1 lb. 12 oz.
