First let me say I've never had an issue with loose bristles finding their way into my food. That is just a B.S.selling tactic in my humble opinion. What I have dealt with however is crappy made wood brushes made at an odd angle with too short of bristles or too short of a handle. Your knuckles feel the heat, the plastic brush melts and gets all wonky and finally you're off looking for another one. That's why I gave this one a shot.First and foremost this thing is stout! You can get all the purchase you need with this brush and get the grill nice, clean and ready for the next bbq. Second, the angle the brush head is at keeps your hands out out the heat. This is actually comfortable to use on a grill firing on high heat for a considerable amount of time.There is one downside. Due to it having coils rather than bristles, it only cleans the top of the grill. The underneath still has crud. It's just the nature of this type of brush. I figure I'm just going to get over it. My food isn't touching the bottom of the grill anyways. I'm pretty stoked on this brush and do recommend it. I wish you many good Bbq and/or smokes.

Works well enough, replacing a wire brush due to possible wire loss onto the grill and then onto food.

Works great! I was going to give it 4 stars because I wouldn't say "I love it" ... but then I thought, what prevents it from being 5 stars? How could it be better? Well, I'm at a bit of a loss there... so even though I don't think it's a 5 star "I love it" product, I'm giving 5 stars. Works great and no worries about bristles.

My husband does not like this grill brush. It is hard to get between the grates to get a good cleaning. He was hoping this would be the brush he has always been looking for. After reading the reviews, we thought this brush would work better than it does. It may be our grill.

This brush really does a mediocre to poor job of cleaning the grates. Anything that is burnt on, like bar-b-q sauce is impossible to remove with this brush. The old fashioned stiff steel bristle brush, on the other hand, works quite.well.

I don't know how I feel about this thing. I do like the fact it's not the bristle type as I have long heard the bristles coming off and getting into your food can sometimes be serious. With that said this thing is a lot more work to use. The scrub part really only cleans the top 3rd of the grates. You have to use the scraper on the front of this thing. I don't just mean the long bar part on either. If you're going to clean the sides of the grates you need to use the u cut outs on the side of the scraper. Overall it is well made and works, but I feel like I work a lot harder to clean with this one than the old bristle brush. I am also fanatical when it comes to cleaning my BBQ's so maybe I am just being really picky.

Works well for cleaning our charcoal grills. I like that it doesn't have individual bristles that risk getting lost and stuck in food. It seems sturdy and appears like it will last. Overall I would recommend.

Nothing to dislike. THis brush cleans great and does not release 1 inch steel barbs as do regular brushes. The barbs released by regular brushes have been known to lodge in the throat and require a hospital visit.
