Work well, don't fall apart
These are good. Lightweight, very compact in collapsed state, don't catch on things, and don't get smashed by things. I've kept these in a bag of miscellaneous useful junk that will knock even the sturdiest things to pieces for over a year now and there's been no noticeable impact on them. They also work well as chopsticks. There are a few (potential) problems:* It can be very easy to lose the connector bit when drunk, on planes, or drunk on planes. Given that I am usually using these while drunk on planes, this has nearly happened on several occasions, though fortunately not actually happened yet. But they would be a lot less convenient without that bit to hold them together when in storage, and as it is a separate piece, it can get knocked off a table or whatever pretty easily.* There is very little grip on the plastic end that picks up the food. Depending on what you're using them for, this can be a serious problem, but you can also mitigate it entirely by scouring the end a bit with some pliers or whatever. I scraped in a spiral around the tips and they've been as good as regular metal ones.* If you forego cleaning them before collapsing them, you can wind up with food bits stuck inside them. Don't forgo cleaning them. Even just wiping them off with a napkin is generally sufficient since they're pretty smooth, though.

If it came with a case...
I know, it comes in a small brown paper case, a bit larger than a credit card. If it came with a little nylon/ webbing case that you could attach to your belt or something to protect it, this would be perfect. I don't feel it's completely clean to just slide it in your pocket. The chopsticks themselves are absolutely perfect. The stainless steel and plastic are both very comfortable to hold, depending on how closely to the tip you like the hold your chopsticks. The tips slide perfectly into thesteel handles on either side, and are held in very tightly, but not too tight so as they wouldn't come out. The clip that holds them together also acts as a rest, which is usefel, yet strikes me as funny that such a traditonal style of using them is present in these futuristic chop sticks. The clip holds them together nicely. At the back end of the stainless steel handles, there is a small drain hole in case they get filled up with water or soy sauce or something. I highly recommend these

Highly Recommended Travel Chopsticks!
I have a couple of pairs of these great chopsticks. I keep them in my bag when traveling so I'm ready to eat whatever comes my way. I also used to keep a pair in my pocket at work so, again, I was always ready to eat whatever comes my way.The holder keeps the two sticks well secured when not in use and it makes for a decent stand so your sticks don't touch the table between bites. It is easy to build and break-down the chop sticks and they feel secure both when collapsed or expanded. They are easy to clean with tissues after eating and have never added any bad smells or tastes.I've tried many portable chopsticks, all with reliably bad experiences. I've never had a bad experience with any of the pairs of these specific chopsticks I've owned. This are the only portable chopsticks that have met all my expectations.

What a great idea!
Looking at the price, I wasn't too sure - seemed awfully expensive for travel chopsticks. However, these are exactly what I needed. The more I read about how the "disposable" wooden chopsticks used in American restaurants are made, the less I want to put them anywhere near my mouth. A perfect solution. Small enough to fit in the average small purse - or even a back pocket - and because of the design, easy to wash off and dry and put back right after eating.I'm actually going to buy another pair right now for my partner.Update: I cannot speak highly enough about these. I actually purchased a small case to go with them: http://www.amazon.com/Travel-Portable-Stainless-Chopsticks-Tableware/dp/B0181PGJQ4?ie=UTF8&ref_=cfb_at_prodpg and have been pleased with it as well. Plus, it's a great conversation piece when you pull them out at a restaurant. (Though I do sometimes get strange looks from other patrons.)<grin>

I want more! Would prefer if the other colors were available!
At the time of my purchase, I had the choice of the light blue or the orange. I really wanted the maroon colored set. I even went to the manufacturer's website which redirected me back to amazon. These are easy to clean, easy to carry, and easy to put together. Just be careful not to use too much force because it might stress the pinching grip of the metal ends. These will stay in place with little force to assemble. I would like to be notified when the maroon and black colors are available because I would purchase another set or two.

Eat more mindfully
These are so amazing and when I went back to re-order more, I saw that they were not currently available. I hope it's temporary because I want more! They come with their own little rest piece that also serves to keep them together when you take them with you. They come in beautiful, eco-friendly packaging and every time I use them instead of a plastic fork, I feel happier about my purchase. Also, I end up eating slower (i.e; less food) and more mindful about what's going in my mouth. Great product! Also, these would make cool stocking stuffers!

Great portable chopsticks
Love these. They are a bit pricey, but I find myself using these over the cheap ones from daiso because they are so much easier to carry. You don't have to worry about a carrying case and they come with their own chopstick rest. They are very light and easy to clean. I like that it is a mix of metal with silicone tips. They are not as robust as the metal chopsticks I usually use, but they are also way easier to travel with.

Well Made Set
This is a quality set. They fit together tightly and snap solidly into the holder/chopstick stand. After my wife saw me using them this weekend when we went to a Chinese restaurant, she wants a set too. The only thing I want to warn people about before they buy these is that they are not for beginners! These are the slickest chopsticks I have ever used; even more so than polished stainless steel. Some things are a challenge to pick up as they just want to slide out. This is not a negative -- just a warning. If you know how to use them, they will do fine.
