This is a great case for the price! It looks nice. Cutouts don't cause problems. Phone doesn't get heavy but feels reasonably protected. Feels nice in the hand and the ring is smooth and comfortable for holding. Recessed loop ditch makes it snag-free for pockets. This is also the fatal flaw. The rim of the "ditch" puts stress on the ring joint when the ring is fully opened away from the case. The case without the phone is light enough that the ring has no problems in this extended position but if you have the phone in the case, the additional weight aggravates the problem. If you have the phone being propped up at this angle and press/touch the screen you are straining the ring joint. See the video. Conversely, if you want your phone propped up almost at 90° the ring will just close from the weight of the phone. Basically, if the ring Itself is more then 90°/perpendicular to the phone, there is too much stress and the ring will probably snap off. If it is less than 90° the ring will just close/recess into the case. When propping your phone up in landscape mode: make sure the ring is perpendicular to the phone AND perpendicular to the surface.*******Note to the manufacturers: these problems could be solved with a strong loop material, stronger hinge and cover, AND/or notches in the exterior "rim" so the loop doesn't hit the rim when fully extended or some kind of system to prevent the loop from extending too far . But a stronger loop/hinge will definitely help

Bought this for my LG G7 fiancé to replace a thicker, more protective case.She loves this case a lot better and it provides similar protection as the previous case minus the bulk. It has a kick stand and a metal plate to use with a magnetic car holder which I have installed in all of our cars.I saw some reviews on this device where the purchasers assumed the metal plate on be back itself was magnetic but nowhere in the description does it state the piece is magnetic, but does state it works with magnetic phone holders.**update**Since purchased in July this has gotten lots of use. The ring came off finally, though my fiancé could not reattach it I pressed it back in and twisted it a bit and it held. I pulled and it would not come back out easily. I pulled hard enough to get the case to flex a good amount and it didn’t come out.I can only guess that with usage and having it on the hand over time the ring slowly comes out of the attachment piece and falls off. I was going to remove a star but because it went back together and was holding like day 1 I don’t see why it should lose a point. I could ding for design flaw, but it could be useage and unseen pulling over time issue which is natural wear and tear.

I ordered this case to be ready when I bought my G7 and its tough to write a fair review for this case when I'm not a big fan of the phone(former Galaxy owner, switching to LG). But this case is doing fine, I got the Blue one and I like the color, it stands out from other boring black cases. The groove for fingerprint scanning is excellent. The ring/stand is kinda big for me, but I'm a small guy(5'7", 170 lbs) but that's not a bad thing, better than being too tight. For ladies with small hands, it may seem like too much space. However, the ring is the one thing I think could be improved with a possible push-button pop-up. Cuz you may have to use both hands to access the ring. And the whole idea behind the ring is to be able to use your device with one hand. I used to have a pop-socket and not that it was quick and easy but I could pop it up with one hand. I may sound lazy but I'm a mailman and while I'm working, one arm is usually burdened with mail and the G7 is big for my hand. Again, this is just me and it'll probably be fine for most of you

I like this case a lot because of the quality of feel about it, and i love messing with the ring from time to time. The case has shown to help tremendously when ive accidently set my phone on the counter (straight into a small puddle) and the phine was only slightly wet on the inside. The only thing about the case is the ring suddenly because lose and the hinge started to crack after having the case for about 8 months. This isnt a terrible run for how the piece is put together, but it was annoying so i just broke it off the rest of the way. The case itself is still entirely sufficient, there's just not a ring anymore.

Appreciate the slim, minimalist, matte black design. Finger ring seems strong enough to hold up the phone for watching videos longer than my last one lived. Buttons are nice amd clicky over the power & volume bottoms

Protects well, ring on the back also works well, except it could be thicker to have more of a magnetic surface. I have seen the magnetic bond release because of phone weight and some bumpy roads while driving. It holds most of the time though

Ring fell off in the first week and I only used the thing twice! You see everything little scratch also

Rugged case with very responsive buttons. The ring, on the back, is really useful. More than I thought it would!
