I bought this tallow, vitamin E, jojoba oil and essential oils to make my own tallow balm. My balm turned out awesome, and everyone (so far) that I’ve gifted it to has been so happy. The ingredients are all high quality, and pure. No bad skin reactions, pleasant smell and feels awesome on the skin. You won’t be disappointed with this purchase.

Final update, I'm still not happy about the price change, but the seller did work with me to make things right since I did receive the wrong product. And since the product is such high-quality as well, I will return a star. I do appreciate their customer service even though it was a frustrating experience. Update, I am taking away a star. I have purchased a bucket of this tallow multiple times and make beautiful skin care products with it. I'm going to include a picture because I've always bought the same bucket at the same price for about $50. I used to be able to get a 7 pound bucket of 100% grass fed beef tallow. Now, Sulu has made the $50 bucket just 100% non-GMO pasteurized pure beef tallow. You now have to pay about $75 for the same size bucket to get 100% pure grass fed beef tallow. When my bucket arrived, I had to double check because this is so ridiculous. Look at the picture and see the two buckets side-by-side because these were only purchased within a couple of months of one another. I'm on my second bucket and I absolutely love this beef tallow. I have been cooking with it regularly, but I also make skin care products with it that have been muscle tested and found to be clean high-quality. I do make tallow balm, but I even use this like a gloss. It is so high in vitamins that anytime I've started to get a cold sore, I start putting tallow on my lips and it nourishes my lips to the point that a cold sore never breaks through the skin. Both buckets that I have received have been firm and clean looking. No chemical smells or Crisco like consistency as a few have reported.

Absolute game changer! We fried for the first time in many years; french fries, Navajo Indian fry bread, onion rings and chicken! The smell is amazing; the beefy accent flavors just add an extra bang to your food. It fries very clean, and it doesn't smell bad like certain vegetable oils can. My cast iron skillet is loving this; it's almost like a natural seasoning for it. As for this specific product; it comes in a nice bucket with a handle; very sturdy, the tallow is very clean and well rendered. I will definitely be buying more from this seller. It is a great price for what you get; which is becoming less and less to say these days. This is a great product and I don't have hardly anything to say negative about; and I personally can't think of one. Ditch your seed oils, and load up on this product!

This tallow is affable and the smell is very mild. I wanted it for soap and moisturizer so I added essential oils to take that meat smell out. The worst part was the bucket it came in. I could not open the lid it was on so tightly. My husband had to open it for me. After removing the protective tab, the lid became jagged and painful to open with bare hands.

I have never written a review before but couldn’t pass up an opportunity on this product. I ordered the 7lb bucket and it was shipped quickly. Packaging was great. The container was filled to the top with creamy and smooth tallow. I have used other beef tallow that had a horrible smell and left an awful taste on my food. I was reluctant to try beef tallow again but I have to say this tallow had no awful smell and no bad taste. Actually tastes good. The texture was perfect. I have already cooked with it and it doesn’t leave my food tasting awful or rancid. I divided it up into 9.5 pints and refrigerated it after arrival. I even kept a little out to use cosmetically. It feels wonderful on dry hands and chapped lips. I will definitely buy this product again. I have already referred many friends who were looking for tallow. The price is reasonable also. Awesome product!

This is NOT food grade tallow, if it's even tallow at all. When I first found this product, I noticed that they didn't have very many reviews, but in their listing they mention that they have more reviews on other websites like Etsy and their own website. When you look at their other products, they sell a lot of skincare products such as Jojoba Oil, Argan Oil, etc. so they're definitely more focused on skincare products, and NOT food. When I received this, I opened the plastic container and was immediately hit with a strong chemical and plastic smell. After experiencing this myself, I noticed others had left a review about the strong smell of plastic also. This container does not have Nutrition Facts listed anywhere on it at all, which should legally be listed, if it is considered a food product. There is a typo on their label and it says "Grass Feed" instead of Grass Fed (which may only be a small typo but still worth wondering how it went overlooked, since the way things are worded on a food label is very important). I have bought tallow from other places many times and this does not seem like actual tallow. It is completely flavorless and it smells like plastic and chemicals. I put a small dot of it on my tongue before using it for cooking. It tasted like chemicals and my tongue was tingling for over an hour. When I took my food out of the oven from a medium heat, this "tallow" was charred and burnt, and turned into a completely black ash. REAL TALLOW DOES NOT DO THAT. I do not believe that this product is real tallow. If it is tallow at all, it is sold by a company that sells ONLY skincare products, it is bleached and chemically deodorized, does not list ingredients or nutrition facts and should NOT be labelled or marketed as a food grade product. DO NOT EAT THIS!!! Not as described.
