A competitive ship that looks a bit uglier than expected
Let me clarify: I own a lot of X-Wing miniatures, all of which are 2.0 models. Some of them can be kind of wonky (the wings on TIE/ln FIghters can sometimes be offset), but the vast majority feel high quality (plastic pegs not withstanding) and look good on display. However, the RZ-2 A-Wing is easily the ugliest ship of the lot, and I'm not sure why. When I compare it to the 2.0 re-release of the RZ-1 A-Wing, it leaves a lot to be desired. The ship is scaled differently (although probably more accurately), but it loses a lot of the finishing touches that make its Rebel predecessor really pop out: the cannons are just these rounded plastic nubbins, the engine blocks don't have any yellow painted inside, and the ship has no obvious gradations in color or insignia on the hull. The model just looks coarse and low resolution compared to other other X-Wing miniatures, and the plastic pegs that ship with it feel unusually cheap and not well fabricated. (The pegs usually have a cylindrical extension with a distinctly flat edge cut out, but these are toothy and almost triangular, making it hard to fit them together.) But maybe I'm being really picky. When you forget its aesthetics, the ship is extremely competitive. It has good time on target because you can swivel its firing arc from front to back, it's zippy and maneuverable, it comes with a lot of named pilots, and it has the upgrade card "Heroic" which is a staple on generic Resistance craft. If you collect these things just to look at them and don't care which subspecies of A-Wing you own, get the RZ-1 instead. But otherwise you'll probably want a few of these uglies to flesh out your Resistance list.EDIT: I upgraded my review from 3 to 4 stars. The ship plays well enough that it's worth having, despite looking a little bland. I also added a comparison pic: RZ-1 on the left, and this product, RZ-2, on the right.

Necessary Element for X-Wing miniature game Resistance players
One of the most welcome and impressive expansion packs of the wave! The RZ-2 A-Wing is a beautiful model with nice details and character. Awesome pilots and options make it a very competitive ship that can be played both in the Extended and Hyperspace formats. Every pilot that comes with the set is valuable and playable. This ship can fill in and benefit a squad. Even after the point adjustments (July 2019), having up to five is still viable.

Great minifigs
These will be a great addition to my fleet. I hear the RZ-1 LOOKS better, but the RZ-2 is a better unit.

Disappointing miniature quality
Overall disappointing quality. The box had been previously opened. There is a relatively large chip in the paint as well as way too much paint having been applied to the right side window. The right engine also appears to be tweaked off to the right ever so slightly. This let me down because of the quality I have come to expect from X-wing game miniatures.

Really really meh
This is really just a very slightly tweeked AW with Resistance pilots. I know that it’s not FFG’s fault that the new trilogy has these , but it just doesn’t add much to the V2 experience IMHO

x-wing 2.0
