Perfect! Reminds me of France!

I happened to see this Raclette grill for sale in a Strasbourg hardware store during a recent trip to Europe and was so tickled to find it available here in the US as well! It's super easy to clean and the trays are sized perfectly for slices of Raclette cheese (Trader Joe's sells it pre-sliced, seasonally). We break it out at parties and it's always a hit. Add some things to melt cheese on, a good bottle of wine and your conversation skills for a wonderful evening with your own gang.

After struggling with a different brand of Raclette grill, I was skeptical. But this one works perfectly! We tested it the other night and had a wonderful time. Will use it with confidence at a party next time. doesn't come with tools, so be sure to add wooden spatula & tongs and real raclette cheese for the full experience. At this low price you can pick the ones that will work best for you. Pro tip: oil the stone before using to reduce sticking. And don't worry about discolorations on the stone. That's just a way of remembering previous evenings of fun and conversation.

It provided the perfect basis for a great dinner party. We grated a set of melty cheeses, some veggies and meats and sat around the grill to heat/cook our stuff while chatting and enjoying wines and breads. Not easy to clean the stone top, but otherwise a great tool.

Save the box, lots of parts to this thing. But worth it! Probably should be sure you protect your table under it as well, lots of heat coming off this.

This didn't work at all. The heater coil never got hot enough to grill anything on the top metal and stone grill surfaces, and it took about an hour for the cheese to melt in the little grill pans beneath the coil. Completely useless. We ended up grilling our veggies and meat on our stovetop and melting the raclette cheese in the oven.

We are Raclette people. We had a large, round raclette grill for years. I bought this to replace the old one. The heating element does well melting cheese, although not so much to a crisp as some may prefer. 8 people can cook cheese at a time, which is good. My 1st surprise was really how small the cooking surfaces are. Only the black, grill side actually cooks anything, and that plate is about 6" x 6" . You can not get much cooking, for a family of 5, with such a small space. "Use the other stone surface, you might say, to double your cooking space?"... The best I can say for the stone side is that it keep items warm. It does not actually cook or grill meat or vegetables, even on the highest setting. I am looking to contact CucinaPro to see if I can get a second, black grill plate as a replacement part to double my cooking surface. If not, this one is going to Goodwill. I'll find one that resembles the other one we had previously.
