Great program. Has been endlessly useful,, it dose not allow you to create a blue print of the framing, you have to pay extra for that.

Do Not Buy!! I am pretty good with teaching my self programs so despite all the negative reviews about it being hard to use, I got past. What I cannot get past is the for $99 dollars the developers will not add in bathroom fixtures. It you want that you have to pay for the $495 version. If I wanted a program to draw a box I could have just used excel!! Not worth the price!!

Difficult to use by older people and recalcitrant in that iti s difficult to put things in place and make them stay also there are not enough architectural and domestic design material to complete a job without buying extra. Really not happy with this application.

A previous reviewer stated that bathroom fixtures are not available. This isn't true, (see below), and I'm so glad I purchased this even though I thought it was. The program is very functional, and the learning curve isn't too steep. Best of all, I own my plans and don't have to give any of my personal information as required on many (maybe all?) of the "free" online options.Here is the Chief Architect response to the review where the user thought that bathroom fixtures are not available in the program: "Hello and thank you for the feedback. Not really user friendly, took me a long time to figure out the features and I still struggle with it.

The product is basic, non professional and overall a waste of time and money as it is non-refundable even though it is not represented well in the description. Simple desired accessories to complete and visualize the outlays are to be purchased from catalogs as very few of the necessary items and pieces are free to use. There should be a half-star rating option given the price!

Been looking and trying different Architectural design software for the past two or three years trying to replace a program I purchased 20 years ago. My old program would no longer work with my updated operating system. Until I found Home Designer Suite 2018 I had been unable to find any program that was user friendly and would do the walls, fixtures, stairs and text. Home Designer Suite 2018 is very easy to use and and has all the necessary functions. Great program and great price.

I was told by my brother & brother-in-law, each who both recommended but warned me, it was somewhat difficult to use. I have found it too difficult & decided rather than struggle w/it, I would abandon the app.
