Just couldn't get it to look right
Please note: The description of the item says the petticoat is NOT included. I bought one for $10 from Vianla and it's great. The dress is nice. The top fit me very well, which means that it would be too small for large-chested women. The waist is perfectly at the natural waistline. There's a seam there where the top meets the pleated skirt (not shown in the pictures). A sash is included that covers the seam and makes it look like the picture. However, the sash I received was MUCH smaller than the waist of the dress, so I wouldn't have been able to wear the sash at all. I was fine with that because it's not like the seam is ugly or anything, it just wasn't going to look like the picture. The worst part about this dress is the pleats. The pleats are very bulky and if you have any bit of stomach that sticks out below your natural waist, you're going to look pregnant in this dress. The sash might help a little with this, but I couldn't wear it because it was so much smaller than the dress. I bought a petticoat from Vianla to see if that would help. It certainly did help with the stomach problem, but the petticoat and the dress did not go together very well. I had to wear the petticoat waist at the bottom of my bra or else a couple inches of petticoat stuck out from the bottom. On the models, the petticoats always match the dress, but I had to buy a white petticoat for a blue dress - I didn't want the white showing. So having the extra layer around my natural waist did not make the waist of the dress look very flattering. All around, I was disappointed in this dress. I wish that they sold this dress without a pleated skirt. They have one that's very similar that doesn't have pleats, but the top is criss-crossed and it has cap sleeves (they make it hard to raise your arms as the material isn't stretchy).

This Dress is PERFECT!!!
I just got this dress and loved it so much I had to write a review right away. I did A LOT of looking before I found this dress and it could not be more perfect! It came in very good condition....not wrinkled at all. I cannot believe what I paid for this dress. It's really worth the money. Some comments on the dress:1. The dress does seem to run a bit small. I would suggest going 1-2 sizes up. I'm 5'4", 161 lbs and usually a medium...sometimes a large. I ordered an XL and it fit very comfortably. There is no gapping either under the arms or in the back. It also isn't tight at all.2. The color is pretty true to the picture. It may be a bit brighter in person, which I really like. It's really very pretty. I got the red lace.3. The length is just below the knee.4. I wanted the skirt to "poof" out so I bought a red petticoat. I got an XL and the length was perfect. It makes the dress full, but you can't see it. Here's a link...https://www.amazon.com/dp/B011QIXU7O/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_05. The dress does have a lining. So, if you're not interested in the fullness of the skirt, you can go without the petticoat. But I really recommend getting the petticoat.

Comfortable and Versatile
I usually hover between a dress size 8-10 and purchased the large. It fits perfectly! No awkwardly baggy sections, but also not so tight that it isn't comfortable. The fabric isn't quite as dressy as I thought it would be based on the sheen of the dress in the picture, but I think it will still be dressy enough for the event I purchased it for. I think its a dress that could be dressed up or down depending on the shoes and jewelry you choose to wear with it.I really liked that the belt is separate from the dress so that I could place it where it best accentuated my natural waist. The belt fit perfectly, and stays in place well because of the texture of the fabric and the tiny bit of stretch. The burgundy color is a lovely dark red- exactly like the picture. The belt was slightly unevenly sewn, and the dress arrived pretty wrinkly which is the only thing that dropped the dress from 5 to 4 stars. I'm still waiting for my crinoline underskirt to arrive, but if you want the nice silhouette of the picture, you will definitely need crinoline underneath. I'm really happy overall with the purchase, particularly for the price!

just food and fun. We wanted something that wasn't formal
This dress is a dream! It's so hard to find modest apparel that is age appropriate and my 14 year old looks a little older than she is and she doesn't even wear make up, nor does she dress "older." She wore this dress to a church activity. The youth group had a "black tie" affair for Valentine's Day. No dates, just food and fun. We wanted something that wasn't formal, but a little dressier than Easter Sunday. The fabric didn't have a lot of give, but it wasn't skin tight either. It came slightly below the knee. She wore a black petticoat underneath, which gave any swirl to the dress some interest and some fullness to the skirt. My daughter won best dress in this! She looked amazing! She wore this with some black wedges. I tried to get her to wear a black bolero but she didn't want to. This style is suppose to really be coming back. My daughter was beautiful, modestly dressed, and in-style, no less! Since everyone's body shape is different, I ordered both medium and large because the measurements listed for the dress for both sizes had some overlap. My daughter is about 5'5 and is in pretty good shape. Her measurements were 34.5, 28.5, 37.

Excellent Value; Beautiful Dress
I was skeptical of this dress due to the cost. The fabric is of a lighter material but during the summer this is ideal. The neckline is high, so on some women this may be uncomfortable. However, I have not had any issues with the dress. It fit as expected. I am 5' 5" and normally 145 lbs but also pregnant so I got a large to accommodate. As I enter into the third trimester it is of course not going to fit as well due to the lower waistline on this style. But I look forward to wearing later. I liked the blue floral pattern as it is "springy" but could also easily be worn during other times of the year.I would suggest purchasing the petticoat with this. It's not necessary but it adds nice volume to the skirt. I would also suggest removing the belt that came with it and going with a solid black, ribbon type belt instead.I will update after it gets a few washes and I see how it stands up.
