I purchased the hardwired version of this lantern after searching far and wide on the interwebs. This is definitely the best bang for your buck! I am a 29 yo female with zero home improvement skills but I installed it all by myself after watching a YouTube video. Super cute & gives Japan vibes.

UPDATE:Seller fixed all my issues. They shipped me a new light without me having to return the defective one.They also updated the way they pack the lamp so you should not have an issue with the paper shade getting punctured.First of all I love the light, I waited almost 2 weeks for it to come in, but unfortunately it came with a few holes in the paper shade.I seen other reviews have the same problem so I took the gamble and I'm too impatient to send it back. I'll figure a way out to patch the holes or just keep the holes toward the back out of sight.I'm hesitant to order another one for my daughter's room due to the inconvenience of returning it since I already had it ready to install before installing the shade.

Arrived quickly and was packaged securely. Easy to assemble just be very careful because the paper is thin and it could rip. Does not come with a lightbulb. It has a nice long cord. I think it’s priced a little too high, but I still really like it. Let me know if this was helpful!

Overall very happy with this lamp but my lantern had like this orange dye stain on it that I feel for $80 is unacceptable a product that's main aesthetic is the paper itself. Please see the attached:

It's a great size of a paper lantern. Not small , almost similar to an extra large size. Very easy to set up. The light gives a warm glow. It's very big so it needs to be in an open space, either high ceiling or in a corner. I would have given it 5 stars but when I opened the package there was already a tear in the paper lantern. When I opened the package I didn't smell any strong chemicals on the product

This lantern came ripped and customer service sent me a new lantern free of charge!! Very reaponsive. These are delicate so they must be handled with care. Some delivery drivers are not as caring as others.
